Title: Going full circle
Post by: moleman on March 14, 2013, 06:34:00 PM
They say that history repeats its self, and in my case that statement is holding true. Yrs ago when I was initiated into the trad. archery world a couple of my first quality bows were Jerry Hill longbows, but as with most the I caught the I gotta try them all bug and the J.H's were either sold or traded.
Well here I am, yrs. later and within the past few months have acquired not one, but two J.H's, and Im finding that I wouldnt part with them for nothing, they shoot better for me than some of the other customs Ive got, at 5 times the value.
Anybody else feel like they have gone full circle, when it comes to bows?  (http://%20 [/IMG]

Started with a Shakespeare recurve, went to longbows for a few years and now back with the 50's style recurves.

Hunted with this for my first few years...

Now I'm hunting with this 15 or so years later...

Started out with a hh style bow I made then went to a more center cut style. Now I'm back to the hill style and I'm loving it! Even got another in the mail as I rite this
