With the outserts on both ends those things were bombproof. I'm surprised no one uses that technology these days. Bill
I used to shoot the Beman PC arrows before they sold out to Easton. You're right; they were bombproof and they seemed to get better penetration than any other shaft I've shot. The only drawback was the outserts would tear up 3d targets.
I still have a couple of them...great shafts!
Great "footed" carbons, weren't they? Tough as nails. I still have one on Grand-dad's tractor to "stick" the gas tank. :)
use to use them for years for stump shooting, could not kill them.
Made some up on current 500 bemen carbon and put on the end a 1 inch overshaft 1916 alum with the insert and glued it on...works well to increase overall weight of arrow and now trying to see how them will do for stump shooting this year.
I picked up 3dz 5.4/630 and one dz 5.5/550 offsite. Talked to Easton(no help) they do not make them any more and have no parts or specs. Trying to track parts down, any help would be appreciated. MIKE
