does bow refinish lower or raise the the value of older bows?? i am sure it has been asked b4 .
imho it might look nice and shiny but it aint original and should be worth less..
whats your 2 cents??
Depends on the bow and what you want to do with it. Unless it's a valuable collector, in good condition, refinishing doesn't affect the price much because most older bows don't command a very high price to begin with.
i see alot of guys asking for large cash on bows
that have been redone

Depends on who you talk to. Some guys only want original finish bows no matter what they look like. Others like them to look new and shiny. If you have a high dollar collectible in good shape I would not refinish it. Good thread about it here: http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=14;t=006160#000000
Tuscarawasbowman hit the nail on the head. Some guys wouldn't look at a refinish if it was a collectable bow. Now if it was just a run of the mill bow in horrible shape it may bring the value back to where it should be but you have to have a certain buyer.
IMHO a lot of old bows that get refinished done't really need it.
