Title: Best bowholder???
Post by: warden415 on August 24, 2007, 07:46:00 PM
What have you guys found to be the best bowholder for a narrow limbed longbow? I am interested in something that mounts to the stand. I usually just use a tree step that I screw in off to the side of me but it can be a pain when a deer catches you daydreaming! I was looking at the one made by german ridge, bow cradle maybe? Steve

Steve, I got one from 3 Rivers that bolts to the stand and it works very well. Only problem with it is that I use a bow quiver and it doesn't work well with the quiver on. I have been using either the Realtree screw-in bowholder or a cheaper version sold by Gorilla treestands and they both work very well. The fold out and extend the bow away from the tree and let me put the bow in position where all I have to do is move my hand slightly to the bow. I have found, however, that when my bow is on the hanger, it should be in my hand! LOL!! Same with a camera-
if I have it in my hands, I sould be holding my bow and if I am holding my bow, I wish it was my camera! Mike

Thanks Mike, I may have to try one of those with the extending arms. Steve

I have a generic version of one of those swinging arm, Real Tree EZ-Hanger jobs. I like it because you can change where you hang the bow. I'm holding the bow most of the time though.
