I just put the fnishing touches on this 60" TD Recurve. The Riser is shedua and has 1 walnut and 2 maple stripes with elk antler on the front and back. The snake skins are prairie rattler. The limbs are clear glass over stained actionwood. Black and white micarta tips. I missed the poundage by a good deal. I was shooting for 50 - 52# and ended up with around 43#@28" plus/minus. I haven't put it on the bow scale yet but I'll bet I'm pretty close with that estimate. It does seem to like 1916's real well along with some 52# spine woodies I made. Not fast, but I was getting good arrow flight and accuracy. In fact, with the light poundage it was a real pleasure to shoot. I might have to take it out Sunday and kill some foam.
Funny thing is I've had the parts sitting around for a long time and I'm just finally getting around to making the bow.

Very nice. Snakes look good. Riser has a Shaffer look to it. Steve
Wow, great work on that one. It's subtle but very nice. It's what i call the "little black dress" principle.
Looks like an $800.00 bow!
I like it very much!
Dave, She Looks GREAT. :readit:  :notworthy:
Looks good to me. Nice skins to.
Great looking bow! Think that the antler really adds alot to the looks. Makes the maple stripes really pop. Add the snake skins and it looks like a high dollar custom. Mike
That is one beautiful bow!!! Great job, I'm impressed
Nice job.
Thanks all, I appreciate the compliments. Now that my boys are pretty well grown I can spend a little more time in the shop. Time to start planning a longbow.
Very Nice!!!
Sharp.
Thats to light for you send it to me just right LOL Thats one fine looking bow...ED
Dave, that is some nice work there Bud. Those skins look great as does the bow itself. Congrats!
Very pretty work!
Very nice.
Wow! Great work!
great looking bow
I had a chance to try this baby out on some foam today. It shot 1916 legacy's great. They're 465gr including a 125gr point. I figure I'm right around 11gr/lb. Not what I would call fast but right on for accuracy and arrow flight. I'm pretty pleased with it. Thanks again for the compliments. I've been inspired by the many true craftsman on this site... Dave
Pretty bow. After finishing my first lam bow this summer - a good shooter at that - not sure I want to shoot someone elses bow. I bet you feel the same way...you done good! Nice job shaping the riser, too.
