This is a story of self control and shooting skill by a woman with a bow against a fierce predator.
The woman tells her story: "While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend, we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging us out of nowhere. She must have been protecting her cubs, because she was extremely aggressive. If I had not had my bow with me, I would not be here today."
She added further, "Just one shot to my boyfriend's kneecap was all it took. The bear got him and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace."
In conclusion she stated, "This is one of the best bows in my collection."
Lol
Wise woman since shooting a grizzly bear in Alberta is a big no-no
Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!
Bisch
Too funny !!!
Why didn't she shoot the bear in the knee? :smileystooges: :knothead:
 :archer2:
Ha! Got me. Good one!
Great lol!
started my day off with a laugh. thank you
Was she able to recover her arrow  !
LOL, got me too! That was good :biglaugh:
Laughing at work. Thanks, I needed that.
Tom
Just about lost my coffee on that one. Great way to start my morning!
Oh no! Haha
Good laugh in the morning always helps start the day.
Yeah but....
What bow was she shooting...? Length, draw weight, Brand?
Does she shoot 3 under or split?
Was she shooting Gap or Instictive?
:goldtooth:
Photos????
:biglaugh: Thanks, I needed a laugh this morning.
It made my day :campfire:
I can hear the conversation now...
"Honey, did you bring the bear spray?"
"Nope!"
"Well why not?"
"Well, I can't run faster than a bear, but I can run faster than you...."
And, being a woman she had to get the last word (or arrow) in!
:biglaugh:
:knothead:
Pass-through????
Wow! You had me , on this one . Reading about a grizley attack in Alberta, where they are not on the list to be hunted. Good one . LOL
LOL...saw one just like it two weeks ago with her shooting with a .25cal pistol. :)
Teach them how to shoot just not how to load!!

If the boyfriend didn't have his own bow, then he deserved it! Thanks. Good story!
What were the specs of her set-up?
:biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Hope bow was not a compond :knothead:
:biglaugh:
I doubt that it was a compound, Stan. It would have been embarrassing to have to ask her boyfriend to borrow an Allen wrench to make an adjustment just before she shot him in the kneecap.
That is a funny story--made my day already!
Good one!! :clapper: :clapper:
A good thing to remember when dealing with bears. You don't have to be the fastest runner. You just need to be faster than the slowest!
It makes me think of taking my mother in law out for a ride... :archer:
LOL very funny. I was on another site and the story was she used a .25 cal pistol. Yah right.(nut)
Now that's funny, I don't care what anybody says. Maybe we should send it to Joe Bidden's wife.
That is a a good one. I had to borrow this one and show it to friends. lol
Dave: Thats a good one. You made my day. Thanks
Nice!
The sequel to Hugh Glass, I can see it coming.
I have serious doubts about those kinds of stories and the facts. If it is true, maybe it's not that way in Canada, she would be sitting in a jail cell charged with attempted murder or at the least assault with a deadly weapon since she is the primary casual link in the crime and her actions established specific intent which makes the crime more serious. If the story is a hoax I can find it funny and have a good laugh. However, if she did the deed whether with a bow or gun, I do not find such stories funny nor does it make my day. We have enough nuts out here shooting people with guns and now we have one armed with a bow.
wonder if it was a single bevel two blade or three blade - those knee caps can be tough!
Gee that's the kind of girls I always seemed to date. Smart ones :goldtooth:
