My first time using Tung oil on arrow shafts, fletched up 30 with duco and all the feathers fell off within a week without even shooting them. I never had a problem with the wipe-on polly finish and Duco.
i've never had a problem with tung-oil and duco... :dunno:
Tung-Oil is not a true poly, never had luck with duco sticking real well to it unless allowed to dry for a week and than lightly steel wool where I am flecthing. Shawn
I have used fletch tape on tung oil for several years with no problems. Last year I tried Minwax wipe on poly that had stain in it with fletch tite platinum with no problems.
Most Tung-Oils are not true Tung oil. Having said that I believe most will say that it takes 6 to 8 weeks to be completely cured.

I used minwax wipe on poly on some shafts recently, and used superglue for the feathers. They stuck on there nearly instantly, and seem strong as anythign. Haven't shot them yet. Poly had several days to dry though.
Better bond than I've ever had with carbons that I can remember.
have you tried tru oil yet? It's a gunstock finish

might want to stay away from tru-oil unless you plan on using a bunch of coats. It is a very thin finish....
I've used fletch tape with Formby's, also with Tru-oil. No problems, but I did let it cure several days.
I used to use Formby's on shafts and I don't recall any problems with feathers not sticking.
