I just received confirmation that my first custom bow has been shipped. When I ordered this bow I gave Brian a very general idea of what type of woods I had an eye for. Being a neophyte to custom bows and basically trad archery I really didn't know what I preferred. Well, Brian sure did not disappoint.
The limbs are tiger myrtle with antler tips, riser is bolivian rosewood with a shedua wave. 60" and 52# @ 28". Hopefully a spring bear will be lucky enough to have a chance encounter with this beautiful bow :)

Mike and Mike, oh the memories!
That has got to be one of the most appealing combos I've seen, not overly done but it all fits together like a glove.
Outstanding..

Agreed!...one of the nicest looking bows I have seen!
That's a beauty! Hopefully many successful seasons in your future with it. Good Hunting :)
Absolutely gorgeous woods, i've always loved myrtle! just curious as to why the checkering is done in such a narrow band, did you request this? :archer2: happy shooting!
I couldn't tell you if it was narrow or wide. I really gave Brian the go ahead and be creative and I think he achieved that. So the narrow checkering could be a a result of that?
the bow looks awesome. if you are in winnipeg, would like to see it sometime.
You mean you are actually hunt that bow:) What a sweet bow. Congrats!
Well the bow arrived today, and I must say it looks better in person! I went to the lanes strung it up and enjoyed some shooting. The grip is spectacular, it is quiet, and dead in the hand. If you are debating on whether or not to get a Tall Tines you will not be disappointed.
That checkering is identical to mine.
He makes a wonderful bow, doesn't he?
