I just got an email from 3 Rivers reminding us that today is Fred's birthday. Think I'll get the 'ol Super K out and take a few shots in honor of this fine gentleman. I'm sure the hunting is much better where he is now than anywhere the rest of us get to hunt.
Fred Bear March 5th 1902- April 27th 1988
Our most sincere thanks Fred!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRED !!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup, sounds like I'll be watching some DVD's tonight. Currently reading Bows on the Little Delta which of course had a lot of Mr. Bear. Thank you sir for your contributions that have positively effected so many people. God Bless Mr. Bear.
just a point of interest
The guy who guided Fred bear on his Yukon hunt is still alive, Think he's 95 now. Alex Van bibber is his name. Alex aways tells the story of how Fred bears Yukon grizz was first thought to be a black bear. Fred went up the mountain after the bear alone, Alex was cooking in camp.
Asked Alex what fred was like, Alex replayed a true genital men with nervous of steal. guess that way we all hold fred in such high esteem so many years later
thanks
fred
I spent the day bombing Yankee Springs with my 30# Bear Tartar.
Apparently Fred frequented this area for bunnies and bluegills. :saywhat:
