Ill be the first to admit that my fondness for Hill styles makes it my number one choice for hunting and shooting, but there are times when shooting and or hunting with my my old curves or RFDF longbows just soothes the soul.
Each style has there own qualities, positive and negative, but all are a joy to shoot, and are effective at getting the job done, so how do you choose just one style? For me the answer is.... " I cant!" I have my preferred style, but enjoy them all with equal enthusiasm.
Yep for me the choice is simple...I lovem all!
How bout you? :campfire:
Agree! Just love archery

Very well said. I've never shot a bow I didn't enjoy shooting....just some seemed to like me better than others.
I've only ever shot Hill-style and recurves, but I love both of them for what they are. One day, hopefully soon, I'll get a chance to try out a R/D longbow. I really think I'll like it a lot, too.
I agree. I am a dyed in the wool Hill bow shooter, but there are times when it is really fun to grab the recurves and fling a few arrows. The only reason I don't break down and buy a vintage Bear recurve is that I am afraid it could lead to an addiction.
Agreed. I have a few more than a dozen bows. My primary hunting bow the past several years has been a three-piece take down hybrid, but I also shoot self-bows, moderate r/d one piece longbows, Hill bows, and Bear takedowns. It's all good. And, no, I don't have any trouble switching from one to another. "Beware the person who has a lot of bows. He probably knows how to shoot all of them." :bigsmyl:
x2 on all of it!
I love to shoot them all as well. I love my stalker right now. It shoots where I`m looking and is good to look at and just plain feels good. My Mohawk has all those same qualities as well. I really love a Hill bow and hope to shoot some more critters with one of them as well.RC
Like them all here also.
I am with Ya Moleman I took my curve out for a test drive yestarday.
Same here. This past weekend, shot my recurve and one of my r/d longbows after 8 months of nothing but Hill style bows. Had a blast! I think I need to mix it up more often.
Almost 50 years of shooting everything. My wife now calls my Mancave, bowroom the Museum. Its great to see the looks on peoples faces when they first walk in.
