Title: above center line?

Just getting ready to cut my arrow rest and sight window in my recurve that i`m making. how high do i go above the center of my riser?

U might want to ask about this on the bowyer's bench. Most of them guys are pretty durn good at that sorta stuff.

Most arrow rests are cut 1 1/4 to two inches above the center of the bow, with the vast majority of them closer to 1 1/4 inches above center.  Selfbow makers tend to cut their shelves closer to two inches above center because if they find one limb is stiffer than the other during tillering, it's a simple matter to just flip the bow.

I start at 1.25" above C/L on my D/R bows, but I like a shelf down on the hand...
