I've shot carbons for a while now and I'm interested in shooting woods! I got some from a buddy but plan on getting shafts and making them myself. I just wanted to see some animals you guys have put down using woodies to get me fired up!!!

I have allot more pics, but they are before the digital time. I mainly shoot cedars and Douglas fir. I did use spruce on a couple antelope. Wood arrows are great, love them.
Now that I have a garage again its time to build some more. Ill be carrying some doug fir in my quivers this fall.

Yes. I think it was southern pecan alcohol stain from three rivers. That was over yellow leather stain (waterbase). the water base dried for three weeks before I applied the alcohol stain. I dipped them in Formby's tung oil. They look briter in the pic because of the camera flash. That day was very over cast.
