Would anyone know what the grip of a newer Predator recurve measures around the throat and then lower on the grip where the bottom part of your hand rests? There have been comments that some people don't like the grips because they are too bulky. Any thoughts?
I have shot one for a few yes but yeah the grip could be a little slimmer where it touches your palm but sorry don't have measurements..but call Ron he might be able to customize GREAT GUYS
His website is WWW.hunters (http://www.hunters) niche.com
I just sold one, and have another still. The grips were different between the two, one being narrower (I liked) one being thicker (I liked less). Great quality on either one, just a bit different.
I can try to measure and get you some info later this evening on the one I still have. Pix can be seen in the bows for sale section.

I have a Predator Hunter. My hands are a size med and the grip is perfect for me. It fits solidly in the v between my thumb and pointer finger. You should shoot one before you have a grip custom made. I shot one at our range and proshop for 2 months before I bought mine. It's my go to bow over my Bear Takedown!
I own a few Predator bows, they are the main bows I shoot. If you grab a bow hard with your hand its not for you, fairly loose grip works well and hand size would not matter, I am large plus by the way. Only bowyer I have ever heard mention to me about grip and bow selection is Dan Toelke, smart guy, I like my Whip.. I have owned three Predators, two felt the same and one riser just felt off, sharper edge or something. I have another one on the way. The grip girth is about 5", it stays that way down the grip for awhile and the bottom of the grip is just palming the bow, not wrapping.
The predator grip is the first grip that I really fell in love with! I have fairly big hands. I went to other bows for a while and shot a custom Toelke Whip a lot. Then I went back to the Predator and the grip felt SO much more natural and I shot better. After shooting it for a while it taught me how to hold my bowhand more loose and less of the heel and now when I shoot my Whip again I shot it much better!
Thank you all for the feedback.
