She deserves a first class ride!
I suspect the tube might have been the problem. It was a bit tight when putting on the cap and could have caused the twist. That tube looks first rate :clapper: Van
Nice!
Yes she does, cool.
David
Thats some first rate bow shipping tube there.
Let's see... he fixes the twist that others have noticed and ignored. Then he builds a bullet proof shipping tube to protect the old bow during it's future travels.
Isn't this the guy (Terry) that has been demonized as the evil hoarder that was locking away the LDB forever due to his selfish nature?
So much for that silliness...
Good job!
  Good job! That bow owes me a rematch someday. I hope I can do it justice if I get another chance

I got to take the LDB out for a spin a few years ago and turn it loose on the local carp population. I've got to say, when I took the bow out of the shipping tube and sat there reading the names of everyone who'd hunted with it, along with the dates and animals they took, it was very humbling. I don't think I've ever before been so paranoid about shooting a bow.
That being said, it's not my bow. I don't own it, nor do I have a say in what happens to it. I'm glad Mike let so many people hunt with it. I think it's cool that he donated it to raise money for St. Judes too. And I'm also shocked that anyone would pay over $2,600 for a bow -- any bow -- and proceed to send it to complete strangers all across the nation so they could beat it up in the woods. If I paid that much for a bow, I'd probably wrap it in cotton and lock it in a room somewhere.
While I'm in awe at the generosity --of both it's previous and current owners -- surrounding the bow, it's not a piece of community property. I hope I don't upset anyone by saying this, but I just don't understand all the folks lately who seem to think they have the right to dictate what a man legally does with his private personal property.
The traditional hunting community doesn't own that bow. Terry Green does. If he wants to shoot it, hunt with it, hang it on the wall or cut it in half and use the stubs to stoke his fireplace, that's his right. And he doesn't owe me or anyone else an explanation.
I'm glad to see he's sending it out for more adventures, and letting other's enjoy carrying it afield like me and so many others have in the past. It's just unfortunate to see something that's a symbol of brotherhood and friendship turn into the centerpiece of such and ugly and bitter display as we've seen over the past few days.
Amen Brother. I'm proud to be a member of a site that doesn't allow the imature ramblings seen on others sites. Class all the way.
I'll second that Dave, Jason & Jeff.
Any person's true friend\\'s would never bad mouth him behind his back.
Brent
Well said Jason.
But damn you got chicken legs brother... :bigsmyl:
very well said Jason. I had the LDB earlier this year and it made some good memories that will last a lifetime.
"Amen Brother. I'm proud to be a member of a site that doesn't allow the imature ramblings seen on others sites. Class all the way."
Whats the difference from that and degrading other sites?.....I'm glad its back in circulation and safe, everyone is entitled to their opinion some voice it others dont, and let it be at that. Great work on the shipping tube.
I don't see any specific sites being named Jake or people for that matter. Just folks giving their thoughts in a calm manner.
The "Other Sites" comments remind me of the old pro gun slogan..."Guns don't kill, people do"
"Sites aren't bad, people are"
I post on other sites, and sometimes argue there. But as I said elsewhere; more and more, I appreciate the "peace" around here.
I post on other sites myself and tend to agree with Roger's statement. Though Trad Talk quickly removed the trash when several attempts were made to post similar threads there and Trad Talk's Administrators/Moderators are commended on their handling of it.
This thread is to let everyone know what the state of the LDB is and to quash the many rumors and disparaging remarks made. Let's try to keep it on topic folks.
Please and thank-you.
I had my 15 days of fame with LDB. What a great shooting bow. It leaves you with a special feeling that's for sure.
What is the poundage of the Little Delta Bow?
52# @ 28" after the first repair job, I believe. It started out at 59# @ 28" before the tip was broken.
Jerry
Yep 59#'s when made. It felt like about 52 or 53#'s when I had it. I'd really love to hunt with it again. I still don't fully understand what is going on. But it's a dang shame :archer: ...Van

you are right david, I jumped to conclusions and i did not see the conversation that took place on LW.
Thank you Terry for keeping the LDB going.I enjoyed the chance to shoot her and hopefully many more will too.
KPaul
I am soooo glad I don't have a clue as to what's going on. I just hope the bow continues down the path Mike originally sent it down. CK
I know what was on the *********** because i was in the middle of it . I got tired of everyone over there slamming terry and spoke on his behalf let me say Terry never asked me to and i hope it didnt make him mad but somebody had to do it and I can argue with the best of them  . the mods over there should have pulled that crap before it got started . but its all over and done and life goes on . all I have to say is what happened to the ones deserved it in my opinion . thanks Terry for doing the right thing and fixing that bow before it hurt someone . and the new tube looks great .
How do you get on the list to shoot the LDB?
Dorris,
Just for the record; the gentleman who moderates that site was out of town on vacation for a couple days. He pulled the thread as soon as he saw it.
Ok by me also ........
Is there a record anywhere of the kills that have been made with the LDB? As many people as have hunted with her, I'm sure the list would be an impressive one. I had the pleasure of shooting her at the 2005 GA State Championship in Meansville, GA thanks to the generousity of Mike Huston, aka 4nolz, and the time and effort put forth by Jack (Daddy Rabbit) Millet, aka PAPALAPIN. Talk about feeling some MOJO, wow. I'm really glad that she is able to continue her journey after all, so that others will be able to experience first hand the awesome and mystical feeling of the past journeys and hunts of this historic bow. I hope that she will still be travelling in the signed bow sock that she was in at the GA State Championship shoot. The many signatures on that sock were very impressive in and of themselves.
Good luck to all who are fortunate enough to hunt with her in the future.
Jason I am glad to know that mkes me feel better about the *********** in some respects . there are still alot of guys on there thats all they live for is a reason to start bullcrap .
