Title: Sold bow gets revenge
Post by: Ulysseys on February 27, 2013, 07:23:00 AM
I've purchased and traded a bunch of bows here on Tradgang but one of the absolute biggest regrets I have is letting a 64" Widow plx t/d in tulipwood with "lord of lords" on the bottom limb go.  I've had and have other pl's but that particular one I had stroke with, it was perfect, and I sold it in a moment of boredom.  Well recently I was using a box from a different bow I purchased and when pulling out the wrap and packing that the shipper used I noticed a Widow invoice.  Being nosy I checked it out to see what the gentleman ordered.  A 64" plx, hmmm, I had one of those, what wood? Tulipwood...what weight? 56@28.  Wow, same specs as the one I sold.  What name on the limb?  Yeah, "lord of lords".  It was the invoice for my missing bow, from the non-original owner.  Small cruel world tradgang is.  I might frame it as a reminder.

WOW what are the chance's of that happening?
We have all probally sold a bow we regret at times and mine was a Great Plains B model and on one of the limbs I had Mr. Forman scrip "TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE" ...
I had that script put on it when he built it cause I was giving up the alcohol ..That was 1999 when I gave it up but a year or so later I had the bow made..I haven't had a sip of any spirit other then the "Holy Spirit" since that time ...
The bow was a good shooter but like many I wanted a little something different..
My latest custom is A Hoots recurve and it will never leave me... I had Psalm 127 3-5 script on it cause I now have "My three Arrows In My Quiver"...   :archer:
