Hey guys, I am looking for as many beaver tails-unskinned or skinned and fleshed, but green(untanned) as I can get my hands on.
I am willing to pay for them depending on size and quantity.
Please call or email me.
thanks, bigjim
Large, I've got three in the freezer with your name on them. Barry
Jim , why untanned? Or do you do them yourself. Ken
Heck no, I don't do them myself. I have been gettng great tails for a long time and intend on continuing as long as they are great and available.
I have had concerns over the quantity that I use as it has been going up consistantly and just looking for a second avenue. The tails are typically thrown away and If I can get enough collected, I can get them taken care of here locally.
Big investment hoping that my contact here can get them done right, but you never know until you try.
bigJim
I can get some April-May for you.
I am in no great hurry but I am inpatient.
thanks, bigjim
Jim, we are froze up bad here. I know some beaver trappers that will be getting after them come ice out. You can have the tails for the shipping cost. I just want the meat for bear bait! :bigsmyl:
works for me. Keep em coming guys, I have allocated a few but long way to go.
Hey Shedrock, you can use me for bear bait...but only if I can surprise the bear :)
bigjim
With a title like that on this thread, all I can say is "Jim, you're a brave man!" :scared: :knothead:
Sounds like you might have plenty coming...
When I trapped in MT, we'd roast and eat them... LOL...guess you didn't want to hear that!
Ill talk to my game warden friend he has a few I know for sure
Jim, I have a friend that is a trapper, I think he gets about 100-200 beaver a year. If you are interested in a longer term / steady supply, I could ask him if he is interested in a relationship supplying you tails, he does quite a bit of exporting so he likely knows all the ins and outs.
Yes, I hope for this to be long term. That is if my contact can get them done properly. They must be just so or they won't work.
Thanks, bigjim
