Any experience with either? both i hope...
Greatree GT Hawk vs. Samick Redstag
Have a friend who has the samick, very nice bow for the money. Whats your draw ? Might make a difference to you as the greatree is 58" where the samick is 60" . A lot of people really like the Samick. Don't hear alot about Greatree.
Good point. Is the Samick Redstag a reasonable step up from the Sage? quality, proformance?
From what I have read I would say yes it is. The sage is listed as a more beginner bow . Sage is drilled and tapped for a rest sights etc where the red stag is more traditional . If it were me I would lean towards the red stag it's alot nicer looking bow, but that's a personal preference. If it's possible to I would shoot both then make a decision .
I bought a 25# Red Stag for my grandchildren and other people to use when visiting me. I'm very impressed with the workmanship and the way it shoots. Not all Samicks come equipped with strings and arrow rests. Be sure to check and order these, if necessary, when you order the bow.
Don't know about the GT, but I had a 3pc Red Stag I donated to the troops in Afghanistan and it was an excellent shooter.
Is the inexpensive bow that LL Bean sells a Great Tree? Seems like a decent deal for a package.
I think what Duffer said sticks the most... You don't hear alot about Greatree.. Maybe the Stag is the sure bet for the price and level i am at.
The level i think i am achieving... :)
I had a red stag one piece 60 inche. It shot really well and looked very nice.I was very surprised actually how nice it shot.I did put a aftermarket 8 strand skinny string on it that improved its performance and feel.
I have not shot the GT
