Iam planning a group hog hunt next winter. Does anybody have experience with this ranch? Or any other ideas on ranches in Texas? Wanting to able to do our thing hunting. Spot/stalk, night hunting. Bow hunters only type ranch. Thank you.
I called ...lease I think I got the right number....left a message a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard back.
I think I'll try again...
In the Trad. Mag. It says they are trad. only.
No lodging on site.
If this is the one near Marathon, TX they are great, very accommodating, and they do have lodging. Very pleasant experience. Plan to go back this spring.
I can't get them to call me back....anyone know what's up????

I'm going down in 2 weeks for turkeys and hogs. Todd has always emailed me back. Try toddmartin@wildblue.net If it's really, really good you won't hear much from me. I'm kinda bad about keeping a secret[LOL]
Charles....tell him I've been calling the number on the site and leaving messages...want to chat with him about a group hunt.
Thanks
From what I see on the website, meals are not provided nor are stands. Good prices though. This is the Homer Martin ranch in Mason, correct?
Danny... rangercamp.com ....
" Ranger Camp Lodge affords comfortable lodging and exceptional, delicious, home-cooked meals for the enjoyment of our clients. "
Didn't get into it much to find out about the stands.
Ok, different place then. Does not look like it is bowhunting only though, noticed on the rules and policies page that no loaded rifles in vehicles or camp. Also has not been updated since 2010 for trophy pictures.
Terry if you want a recurve along on the next hunt I might be available. Thinking next winter..
Lou

Not the javi place in Marathon, it is in Mason. And no they don't have lodging.
Must be talking about two different places...the one I'm talking about is a martin family ranch and does have lodging.....I quoted from their site above.
Yep, two different places, there is a website for Martin Family Ranch and Ranger Camp, both owned by a family named Martin and both in Mason. Good deer hunting around Mason, I used to have a 500 acre lease around there and we had lots of deer. The lady that owned it has since passed away and her niece who inherited has sold the place for gravel quarry.
Either way....the one I was trying to contact was a sponsor....and wanted to work out a deal on renewing and putting together a hunt.
Looks like they aren't interested as I can't get a response....now this is the rangercamp.com I'm talking about....don't want to confuse that with any other company.
The ranch Iam talking about was in trad. mag. Just phone number, no web page.

The ad in Trad Archers is for Martin Family Ranch. From my understanding Roger Camp Ranches is his brothers ranch. And Homer Martin Ranch, also in Mason, is great all around.
