Went to Strictly Sticks 3-D shoot today, and the weather was awesome! :biglaugh:
The wind was bearable, and the course was really nice, even though they decided to stretch out a few targets.
A couple of pics during the shoot.....
Steve shooting a lightweight bow today, closest I ever came to whipping him.

I got chewed out by a few guys today for taking my newly acquired 1960 Grizzly out in that weather, but I like her too much to leave her at home. :archer2:
Me at full draw on a bear @ around 40-41 yards and guessing how high to hold over it`s back

Had an absolute blast. Can`t wait for next weekends shoot.
Love the white fletching :)
I bet arrows can be hard to find on the occasional miss! :scared:
I went to a shoot yesterday down here in TX. When I got to the range it was 28 degrees. By the end of the first round I was shedding layers fast. When I got home I looked in a mirror and saw I was sunburned! That's TX weather for ya!
Looks like a great time.
Bisch
Bisch, we get weather like that up here as well, but not so much today.
Started out around 14 degree`s, and made it up to around 20 by the time we were packing it in.
bowless, yea, the white fletched arrows were definitely a brain fart for today. :) Amazingly, between the 4 of us, we only left one arrow behind today......that may be a record for us.
Good to see others shooting in the snow! We have a shoot coming up near the NH line next Sunday. I just hope the winds stay calm. It can cut like a knife this time of year.
Thanks for sharing your day with us.
Thanks for sharing your shoot. The pictures with the snow were awesome. A good digging tool is a must, at least for me. Our winter shoot her in Maine is next Sunday also/ It will be interesting to see how much snow is on the ground by then.
Mitch, where abouts in Pa. are you? We didn't get so much as a flake in Union Co.
Love shooting in the snow, great pics and share. Thanks a lot.

This shoot was in East Huntington Township, which is in Fayette county.
We probably had 5-6" of new snow and it was powder snow. Except for the occasional wind blasts it was not a bad day to be out flinging arrows at all.
Looks like a blast!
Hard to pick a spot with all those little white spots falling through your site picture :)
