Had some time today to watch Primal Dreams again, have seen it many times. As I sat the with a cup of coffee I realized what a truly fantastic video this really is. Heck even the music is good! I always thought it was well done, but it made me sit back and think how lucky we are to have folks like the Wensels and Mittens among us. Folks who like and understand the things we really care about. I just thought I would express my thoughts on this cold and blustery day! To Primal Dreams :notworthy: :notworthy:
Ron, I hear you. Can't say enough about the 'brothers' when it comes to Primal Dreams.
Enjoy.

I rewatched Essential Encounters recently, and had the same thoughts.
Love both the DVDs!
Mikes Moose footage is one of my favorite parts of that video and if you haven't heard the story about the pack out just ask Mike to tell ya...I watch it with my girls sometimes and they love it...I think most of the poetry was written by Mike himself but not 100% sure...
I really need to order some of the Wensel brother's DVD's. I feel like I'm missing out!!!
One of my favorite parts is when the fella has the 2 bucks over his shoulders and walks away with them.....must be one of the Mittens, nice to be big and young....lol!
funny, I was thinking of watching it again tonight
For sure the greatest videos and people in traditional archery bar none!!!
My two boys and I wear them out we don't have cable and there is nothing on anyway.
My wife just got Primal Dreams for me this Valentines day and I'm watching it right now. Awesome so far!
Watched this for the first time with my son when we were out for a visit. NOW HAVE MY OWN COPY.
I watch those DVDS all the time, when I am making arrows one or the other of those Dvds is playing in the background. Just two of the best if not the best dvds out there!!
I just hope there is a 3rd one someday soon!!
I think the best part and one that makes me stop and dream about being there is the big Moose in the snow!!
I watched it the other night as well, great vid as well as wild tradition. I find them to be beyond hunting videos.
It plays at my house all the time. My wife will even watch it when she is cleaning for the music and the scenery when she passes by.
God Bless,
Nathan
Just watched it for the first time the other day, it's just a great video . Hunter or not I think you could watch this and enjoy it over and over again.

Yes Sir that was Mr. Mike Mitten himself with those two bucks draped over his shoulder..I bet he couldn't drape "Shakes or Twister" the two bucks he killed Nov.4thand 5th 2011 over his shoulder :jumper:
I don't have that one. If its that good I'll get it with my next order. I also like the old Fred Bear DVDs.
It is "that good"! You will love it and watch it over and over.
I have both DVDS and they are awsome two of my favorite chapters in Essential Encounters is the buffaloe hunt and the young boy trying to get the turkey and the back ground music is exceptional, any person into bowhunting should be required to watch these 2 DVDS just my opinion.
Since I watched Primal I had some time today I might as well look at Essential Encounters again. Just really neat stuff, both of these DVDs could be seen over and over. Again ...hats off to those involved in their making :notworthy: :notworthy:
It's all a dream!

Mike, is there the possibility of another DVD anytime in the near future ?
That's legendary Mike, one of my all time favorite pictures!
We came out with Essential Encounters a year and a half ago, so it will be some time before we have another film ready. We don't do this full time and it just takes so much time to get new footage. This time it will be all HD, so new equipment is being bought now. We do so much appreciate your support over the many years we have done this. Mike
All I can say is that ever since watching, I can't stop dreaming about the day when I can track grasshoppers!
It's my driving life force now to learn...
I have a pretty silly hunting DVD collection, and these are my crown jewels. I have owned multiple copies of each, as they either get worn out from kids using them or I end up giving them away to hunters and non-hunters.
They say so much, often by saying very little. They do not get dated by old product placements or sponsor plugs, and are not fettered by the destination. They are about the journey, and I have loved being invited to come along.
Mike,
When Gene reads the poetry at the end of the D.V.D. it really captures a Traditional bowhunters heart and soul on how we all feel about God's creation and nature but you my friend know how to put the words on paper...Keep up the good work Mike and thanks for sharing with us and not keeping it all hidden in your heart... :campfire: God Bless Mike,
Keefer's <")))><
