Post by: kennym on February 17, 2013, 12:05:00 PM
I hate bein confined to a blind, so here is my setup for this year.

45@28" ,all bocote(except core and glass) D/R" longbow by yours truly. 50 -55 surewoods from Braveheart , 130 Zwickey Deltas from another TGer, Ghillie of unknown make given me by a bud in Idaho.....

Think it'll work?  :D

I keep thinking of getting myself into a ghillie.  I too feel kinda couped up in a blind but it's the best way to go for me.  I have a few spots where I almost literally set up in the middle of a field with no cover.

Only a couple more months to wait!

Thanks guys, I think I can make it work.... if the birds will!!

I will probably make a few arrows with natural turkey feathers, and I have a home built quiver kinda like the GFA to pack em in.

Kenny I really like the idea of nothing but air between the hunter and the quarry.

I think you will kill with your set up.

God bless,Mudd

Should work if you stay on the ground.  I am no turkey hunter but I can never get to full draw on a turkey from a tree.

Bow, arrows and suit look great.  I know the turkey are there.  Can't wait to hear about the arra flingin.

The bow and the ghillie look great!  I don't like being confined to a blind either and prefer to find some thick stuff for a natural blind.  That ghillie looks like it'll do a great job.

 C'mon spring!!!
