Anyone use this product for fletching arrows?
I bought a bottle to try and it's great stuff. The gel is just thick enough and the small tip puts it where it needs to be. Instructions state it holds in 10 seconds, I left the clamp on for 30 just to be on the safe side. Only time will tell how well it stands up to lots of shooting.
I was surprised however when I ran out of glue 1 feather from finishing a half dozen arrows, is this typical? This was a new (4g) bottle when I started.
Yep, works like a charm, but dissapointed in quantity in a bottle.
Been using the gel for a couple years now. No worries about it holding up, I can promise the feathers will fall apart before the glue does. I've use it to glue inserts before & it holds a few thousand shots or until you hit something hard like wood. I find some bottles last longer than others & it's a luck of the draw deal. Make sure you wipe off any extra glue really well are it'll leave a white residue on the shaft.
It's all I use great stuff. When you think it's empty just pop off the plastic bottom and unscrew the top to take out the tune of glue. You'll get another 6 arrows or more.
I too was really surprised at how little glue is in the container. Works well, like it, but seems like a ripoff.
Same as above. Works great, nice bottle, but all you get is a dozzen arrows if your lucky.
Does anyone make a colored glue so you can see how much is going on? Thats what I hate, not knowing if I have a good bead.
I use it for vanes, and love it.
