How much will a Fast Flight type string stretch over time?
the string in question would be 55 1/2 inches... how much will it stretch?
Is is a Flemish Twist? I don't think it will stretch much and if it does just put a few twist in it. It will stop soon. Shooting a lot will help stretch it. My D97 strings don't stretch very much at all.
Depends, variables like which material, number of strands and quality of construction, as well as flemish or endless play a part.
Check out THIS THREAD (http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=116686;p=1#000000) I started a while back. Good stuff about what to expect and the difference between "stretch" and "settle".

Well here is my problem. I have two new endless loop strings sitting here made from FF material for my bow that i got from my local archery shop. They are 55 1/2 inches long... I need them to be 56 1/2 inches long. I cant use them this short because it screws with my prefered brace height. Will they creep out an inch or do i need to return them? If they will creep out an inch, how do i speed that process up?
sticksnstones thanks for the link. Great thread.

bring them back.they won't stretch but an eighth or so.
Never had a string constructed of any ff material stretch an inch. Talking flemish twist here.
You're very welcome. Most factory strings are probably prestretched so that probably won't help in this case. You probably couldn't untwist a flemmish string that far, and endless loop I don't think you have any chance.
If I were you I'd return the strings if you can, then contact a TG sponsor string maker.
