Can these carbons be shot from the older bows ? Bear Grizz #53 @29
THANKS,
Mike :campfire: :coffee:
I shoot my uncut from my Bob Lee @ 54 LBS, can;t see why not. you can also buy a test kit and see what works best. :)
Thanks I'm shooting them out of my Peregrine/30" shaft. I was curious being an older bow if I could also shoot them from the Grizz.
Thanks,
Mike :campfire: :coffee:
Thoughs old bows are still great shooting, and I can't see why it would not. maybe if it was not center shot, but you can always up the Tip wieght.
There is no reason at all why you couldn't shoot any reasonable shaft material from any bow so long as it is matched in spine and is of a reasonable weight (8 grn. per lb. of bow wt. and up)for the poundage. Despite "improvements" in bowbuilding, 50# is 50# regardless of the year it was constructed. Just don't use the new high performance strings like fast flight on the older bows-the tips can't take it and there may be other considerations like riser material. Grant
Thanks Guys, I wasn't sure (being new to Trad) with the bow having a dacron string and the other bow FF . Here are the results at 17yds.
THANKS AGAIN for your help. And Thank You Shawn L. :D
