Grandson wants a bow he is 7 years old.  I'm flying into Baltimore on Friday.  I would ship one from Oregon but it won't get there while I'm there and I don't want the hassel with airlines.
Trad shop near Annapolis??

I don't know any in Annapolis, the nearest I know that has much trad gear is The Gun Shack in Mt. Airy.  Great people, but I don't remember a lot of kid-sized stuff.

I ordered a nice recurve for my daughter from 3Rivers at one point, showed up two days later.  If Maddog has one in stock, he could probably get it there in time.  Lancaster Archery is only a day's ground shipping and will have a good selection in stock.

Good Luck.

hey 58....I grew up in Annapolis, but I don't know of any trad shops there.  This may sound a bit generic, but the Bass Pro up at Arundel Mills Mall has several trad bows (mostly Bear), along with their wheelies and crossbows.  They will let your son try them out on their indoor range, too.  For a big chain store, they have some fairly knowledgeable archery staff.  (nothing like the fine crew on this site, but it could help a newbie...)

The Gun Shack in Mt Airy as mentioned previously is the only one I know of.  You might try Tom Parsons at Kimsha Archery which is maybe 45 minutes south of Annapolis.  I don't know if Tom makes kids bows, but his adult bows are very nice and Tom is a super gent to deal with.

I was gonna mention "Anglers" between Annapolis and the Bay Bridge.I was thinking they had a few in their but not sure. And like stated above,Bass Pro has some decent bows if a shelf bow will work.On the Eastern Shore,i heard theres a big place near Chestertown but i havent been there yet.Hope you find something.
