I am going to just post the pictures and let the cards and arrows speak for themselves. There was some amazing talent present, and the competition was tough, but in the end there were 3 clear winners, who will be posted last. Although everyone who entered was capable of winning.
Please enjoy the show, I know the 150+ in attendance did.

Congratulations to the winners!!! :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: Way to go Mike those are sweet!
They are all nice looking arrows!
Congratulations to all! Mike, I didn't even notice last night that your arrows were self-nocked. Nice job!
As always pictures do not do ANY justice. That additive Mike put in his clear coat really made those arrows one of a kind. It was so cool to have the crown change color right in your hands.
I talked to a lot of folks last night and the top three were on the lips of everybody, just with different order. I was hoping to go home with all the sets from the top three, but I could only hang in the auction for the 2nd place arrows.
Thanks to all the fine arrowsmiths for supporting the Michigan Longbow Association AND The Professional Bowhunters Society.
Wish I could have been there to see first hand the work put into these arrows, works of art.Congrats
Unbelievably nice!
Congratulations to all entrants.

From what I gathered, everyone had a good time and look forward to it again. When the dust clears we will have a total raised for the PBS Youth Hunt.
Just for the record David...I voted for your arrows. You do beautiful work. I'm amazed at how little you charge for such high quality.
I have already started planning for the PBS contest in Cinncinatti next year.
I spent a lot of time going back and forth between a few of them trying to figure out which ones to vote for. Three sets had my head spinning, it was pretty cool to see those 3 end up being the prize winners!

WOW!!!!!!!...only thing that comes to mind. As a novice arrow builder it always amazes me with what other come up with. Congradulations to the winners and everyone who entered, and thanks to Mike for posting the pictures, and putting the proceeds to a great cause. :clapper:
WOW! Works of art for sure. Congrats to the winners.

Art meets function. All are really well done.
Those are some beautiful arrows, well done!
Beautiful
I was scrolling through the pics thinking, "what a shame there are no self-nocks here" and then I got to the sticks made by some joker called "the motor city machete." Wow! Very nice! Congrats!
Thank you to all of you for the kind words towards all the participants. I am glad they entered and showed of their craftyness. There was some serious competition.
Although I won, I have to thank 2 really good friends. 1st off, I must thank Ken Scollick. Ken took me under his wing and showed me everything I know about arrow building (just not everything HE knows). I have always enjoyed woodworking (make a living doing so), but never even gave arrow making a thought until I visited Ken one day while he was in his shop enjoying the relaxation that arrow building brings. Me being me, the questions started flowing and he was more then receptive to my bombardment of questions.
The next guy I would like to thank is another good friend, Steve Osminski (Steve O). Steve has had more inspiration in my arrows than he can even think. Believe it or not Steve, I actually listen when you talk, and the gears start turning when ever you do (I have to draw the line at gold leaf though...or do I???). Wait till next year, this one is going to surprize you (me to if it works).
Blake Fisher (Eclipse Broadheads) deserves some appreciation as well. In my opinion, Eclipse 2 blade heads are the best on the market, and there was never a thought of using anything else. His broadhead was icing on the cake.
What I'm trying to say is...Thank you for having patience with me and being good friends. Like most things in life, an individual does nothing, but a great group of friends can accomplish anything. Yes I won (even though I voted for snag), but more importantly, TEAM Motor City Machetes won this.
See you all next year in Cinncinatti.
Mike-
Is it possible to get another picture of the paint on the crown of your arrows?
Like most times, I NEVER take enough pictures. In the pics I posted, you can see the actual color change-Black, to light Purple, Metallic Purple, Gold, Brown, to almost a Rust. Pictures will never do that set justice. I tried, but was outbid. I really wanted one of those, but they are just a memory now.
Beautiful arrow art.
