Which strung and/or unstrung padded soft cases do you prefer? I need some different cases for longbows and R/D hybrids up to 64 inches.Do not want hard a hard case since I already have them.
I want bows protected in the back of SUVs and pickup trucks and the soft case will not be used for airlines.
Kathy Kelly,Asbell wool,3R or others?
Thanks
I have a takedown Howard Hill and made a cover with Elk hide that fits in my quiver.
Safari Tuff for my takedown and ILF rig.
Safari tuff for a TD case. There are a couple options but I like the rhino.
teresa asbell wool bow case (http://gfredasbell.com/gfa_bow_cases.php) . can't be beat. i like the ones with the leather caps on one end.

Take a look at Black Widow. Nice cases even if you don't have a widow.
Thanks for the suggestions. I do need FULL length cases and don't think S.T. makes full length. Anyone using Kathy Kelly? Thinking of both Asbell sleeves and a full length strung case.
Also, is a 64 inch r/d hybrid bow better fit in a recurve case of proper length compared to longbow cases of very long lengths.
I have a few of the Kathy Kelly strung cases, they are used for recurves and longbows and are a great case. I have unstrung recurve case from them as well. I also have the Fred asbell wool case for unstrung longbows. I use them all from time to time. The Kathy Kelly cases are my personal favorite.

In my opinion these are the most effective and best value soft cases sold!
Take a look at Kathy Kelley Design

How heavy of a material is this? To me this is a bow sock and not a case. When I think case, I think a lot more padding than a bow sock. These do look nice, and the leather end is real classy. I only use bow socks unless I am traveling more than just from the house to my hunting spot.
I have the strung bow case for a bow with attached bow quiver (that also works well when the quiver is removed) http://www.3riversarchery.com/Strung+Recurve%2FLongbow+with+Quiver+Case_i1154_baseitem.html and an unstrung bow case http://www.3riversarchery.com/3Rivers+Archery+68+Recurve%2FLongbow+Sock_i1155_baseitem.html that are both sold by 3Rivers. I generally just use a nice fleece or wool bow sock (love the Asbell) if the bow is unstrung because it is lighter and more compactable, but the heavier nylon and fleece soft case does offer more protection when needed. I use the strung case all the time when hunting and riding in a vehicle or on a 4-wheeler, and it really offers good protection for the bow. I've used it in Africa and Australia where weapons can take a lot of abuse, and my bows have not received any damage while in the case. I like the 3Rivers case much better than the Kathy Kelly, although she produces a good product.

I like the strung Kathy Kelly cases. You can leave the quiver attached with the arrows in it. I have used mine for years.
Black Widow
here is a different way to go. i really like my easton backpack. i carried my takedown with extra limbs and all my shooting acc. in it. it can carry many extra parts, points, quiver, and arrow tube. i love my backpack. i used it last year at cloverdale and 5 days in compton. easy to use and very easy to carry.
Like happy1, I have a Kathy Kelly strung bow case. My strung bow lives in it all season in the back of my truck. It's a great case and protects my bows very well while letting me leave the bowquiver attached. I won it at a UBI Banquet several years ago and if something happened to it I'd order another straight away.
For an unstrung bow, either transportation or storage, I use Teresa's wool socks. I have several.
Another vote for Kathy Kelly! I've had mine since the early 90s and the zipper went out on this year and I will be replacing it with another!

Take a look at 30-06 outdoors, works great with mild r/d bows and man what a price.
Imagine a sleeve would be the easiest, depends if you have a quiver on the bow and want to leave it on. Then Kathy Kelly, strung or unstrung. quiver or no quiver.
I have a Kathy Kelly cordura case for my takedown but I seldom use it for everday use only for trips. I should probably get a strung case with quiver from Kathy Kelly then I would have all my bases covered and be legal to boot.
