Kinda hard to see the stumps and if I miss I would not be able to find the arrow till Spring!
It's been snowing now for almost 24 hours. I have'nt been outside yet but it looks pretty deep. I'll know better when I get out to clear the driveway.
SC is lookin real good right now!

Man, you guys are getting slammed. All we got was some rain and now some really bad winds. Stay safe and warm.
I'm with ya on thinking of SC......
Welcome to our world! At least we don't have earth quakes and tornados messing up our stump hunting plans!
This was last week before Nemo arrived:

Ron, I do watch the weather and you folks that live in the Lake Effect area sure do get hammered every year!
A closer look from the garage window. I think it's a good time to finish those arrows I started...

At least the deer had it kind'a easy from November thru January.......hope they can handle this for 5-6 weeks.......
Here's a look out our kitchen window. The far white hump is the neighbors car. That's our car's antenna sticking out of the closer white hump.

Had to dig a path for the dog, about 3' on the deck. We had a real good crop of turkeys this year.I saw some nice Toms while I was stumping last week. I hope this melts down quick enough for them.Suposed to get rain monday and be in the 40's this week.

About the same here. The winds are the biggest factor. Some spots have bare ground, others piled six feet. I hope the warmer temps next week settle it some for the animals.
14-16 inches here in southern zone NY. Looks like I'll have to shoot into my garage target today.
Sorry you guys got hammered. We got hammered a couple of years ago in MD but we dodged this one. Going 3-D shooting tomorrow.
It makes that 7" of snow we got look pretty small

I worry about the deer getting food in this snow. And predation by coyotes. I was out today driving and saw a lot of tracks in people's yards. Looks like they are feeding on shrubs around some of the houses locally. Hopefully the warmer weather will give them a break.
just got done a litte while ago after 6 hours of clearing snow..snow blowing and shoveling..my 2 sons lasted 1 hour before they snuck back inside..where I live in NH got about 30"+ of snow and thats not including the wind drifts...cleared a path for the dog around the deck to back of house and he takes one look at the snow and runs back inside..hopefully the rain thats coming clears alot away
Kind of odd, but... We're a few miles from the Canadian border up in Vermont, and only got 4-6"! Kind of a bummer for us, as skiing, as well as shooting, gets us through the winter.
On the positive side... less to shovel, less to plow, easier to find stray arrows!
You guys on the East coast have really been hammered big time. Back when I was working, our home office was in Mansfield Mass. Most of the time I was in Germany, but made it back to the H.O. once in a while. Saw some mountainous snow banks piled up in the parking lots even late in the spring.
Live in Michigan now and, while the Upper Peninsula gets its share, we haven't been badly hit in the southern part of the state.
Hey, do me a big favor and keep it over there.
Ron
Hope ya'll have plenty of coffee in the house and plenty of firewood.
A little bit of snow is pretty to see, but this storm makes me appreciate today's shirt sleeve weather at my house. Stay in and keep warm!
Best thing after all the snow is that it's usually followed by a blue bird day - no mountains for this west coast guy in eastern Ontario so we do a little biathlon - cross-country ski with the dog on the river then come back for some archery - could be worse eh? - M.

If you did chance alittle stump hunting today it would be more like real hunting. In that much snow you are really hunting instead of just shooting. :bigsmyl:
Guess you could say the stumps have the best camo of the year... :biglaugh:
Troy
Spent 7 hours with the snow blower and a shovel digging out yesterday. Drifts were 5 feet blocking the front steps and door! Never got around to working on my arrows...everything hurt! :(
Thank goodness for Advil!
Hey, we are suffering down here in Arizona, too. It didn't get to 60 yesterday!!! :bigsmyl:

Ouch! I'm surprised you guys even venture outside in those temps!
:biglaugh:
Please excuse this post...Just wanted to see the big...500
:goldtooth:
Big snow here, too. Gonna get the skidder fired up early this afternoon and get a path cleared to the road. Rain on Tuesday will knock things back, probably make a rink out of the driveway tho..
That Arizona pic is tough to take.
