Hello Gents,
I've found myself in the unfortunate position of owning a 66' Bear Grizzly and 70' Super K. I'm very sad :biglaugh: Suggestions for starting BH (from the grip throat)on both? Especially the Grizzly, it's so short compared to my other bows its hard to 'see' where to start.
Appreciate the time!
SRH
whoops....neglected the lengths! The Grizzly is 58" and the SK is 60"
Try 8" to 8.5" and you will find the sweet spot.
X2 what Joe said. I have a 68 Grizzly (also 56") and I measure 7 3/4 from the back of the riser. I had the same brace on my 74 SK. Both incredible bows.
Most bears are 7 3/4 to 8 1/2.
Congrats BTW!!! I think you find that old Grizzly surprises you!
Oh, where are the pictures? LOL
Thanks for the information!
I will admit I had a couple mid 70's vintage Bears (K Mag and Super Grizzly) and didn't feel the love with those bows, Didn't like the shallow grip on the Super Grizzly. This 66" Grizzly had a deeper grip and fits my hand better. It needs a rest set-up so I haven't shot it yet, although the new string is on it.
I've been thinking about a 'family portrait' actually. I have some nice stuff - a couple Bighorns, Howatts, Bears, a Widow and a HH longbow.
Stay tuned...
