My second bow from arguably one of the best unknown bowyers out there... Unless you've shot a Black Swan!
Arvids latest 17" modular riser with carbon ceramic limbs.
Smooth and fast:

Thanks for all the responses. I have 2 Black Swans now:
My 1st one is a 58" hybrid limb on the 13" riser. 50# @ 28" for bowhunting/fishing and all around shooting.
This one is a 62" recurve limb on the 17" riser. 39# @ 28" for target and form work.
You can swap limbs and risers for different set ups. Black Swans are very efficient, smooth & simple. Definatly "technical traditional" with cutting edge materials and effective design but not for everyone... www.blackswanarchery.com (http://www.blackswanarchery.com)
They sell for $950 and it's rare to find one used.
i wish he made that model with a wood riser as an option
I have a wood risered one among many others.
That bow is cool!
Very nice
I have a Black Swan 46#@28. It shoots a 425 gr arrow at 203 fps!!!!!!

What???!!! Using hooter shooter?
ermont, Which style limbs you shooting? That speed is believable.
I just picked up some shafts from the Clum boys at Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear yesterday. We dialed in an arrow that will end up about 370 grains. No chrono but 2 younger eyes required to watch arrow flight. Tom said it was "Smokin"!
Since I like veneers and real wood, that bow is not my cup of thea.
Great shooting bows.
Arvid just built a wood riser for someone lately. There were pictures of it on youtube. It may have been the pictures, but it looked like there was more overall mass.I would think it would take more mass and not be as trim as the aluminum. I did ask him about using phenolic and he said it would still bend some at draw.
