Post by: beaver#1 on February 05, 2013, 12:58:00 PM
What do you do whenyou are tring to tune a bow and it shoots everything the about the same?  This is what im tuning arrows to  .  67 @28    62"  rocky miller longbow.  70-75 cedar full length shafts traditional feathers  non ff string .  Its shoot everything from 125 to 175 up front abiut the same

You didn't say whether they all shoot well.  If they do, what's the issue?   If they don't shoot well you should try different spines as well as different tip weights.  If you still can't find any combination that works, then perhaps you and the bow just don't work together.

How do you tune? Shooting with feathers on at 10 yards means that almost every arrow seems to fly right. 125 to 175 grains up front means 15 lbs difference in spine value. If your bow is very deep center cut, it can handle that difference.
You could try some papertuning, or even better, bareshafting to be sure.
But if you can hit what you want, and if you hunt, I'd go for the 175 grains.

Yep.  Most bows will handle a range of spines quite well.
