Is anyone putting something inside their arrows that isnt a purchased weight tube that gives additional weight with minimal effect on spine. I saw a video online where a guy looked to be using tygon or tubing from a iv set. Any ideas?
Guys use a number of things to add weight to the front, and to stiffen or weaken a arrow.example Allthread behind the insert for added FOC.
I've read all sorts of stuff, weed waker cord, tubing, even sand. The weight tubes make the shaft act weaker a little bit. Imagine the other stuff does the same
I think Monte Browning uses #12 insulated solid copper wire, gets'em up into the 1000g range.

I have found that weed whacker cord works real well. I can get two strands inside my GT 5575 and GT7595.
With the two strands, it is a snug fit. No noise and I gain 140 grs.
With my AD trads, I have to use a thinner cord to get two strands in. I gain about 110 grs.
I really have not noticed an appreciable chane in spine.
