We have a long bow season here in La. Opens Oct 1st and runs till Feb 15th. Yesterday myself and a friend were doing some scouting and like always I was packing my recurve. We had split up and I was slipping down the edge of a slough. My friend must have bumped this big ole girl and she ran right to me. She stopped in the right place and I was fortunate to make a good shot. She ran about 60 yards and was done...

Rick, I'm near Franklin. I have a houseboat out there. Love going hunt and fish in the basin.
Where did you hunt?
Krotz Spring area and then some near Livonia.

Way north of me. I hunt the public land near here.

Fred I let 3 does walk this weekend waiting on that big buck. This was my last weekend of the season to hunt. Sometimes you just gotta let the string drop :biglaugh:
Nice doe! Congrats!
Nice one Corey!
No shame in getting some meat on the ground. Nice deer.
That's a pretty long season, here in northern VA some areas the season goes from September 3rd or so through March 31st. But that's basically suburban deer hunting unless your on the military bases.
