Title: bear 76'er brace height?
Post by: old_goat2 on February 02, 2013, 08:05:00 PM
I bought a 76'er on the auction sight last year  it ended up having a twisted bottom limb when I got it  , took me a while to get it straightened out, but I finally did and it shoots amazingly well, I took it out the other day in a serious snow storm cause I was so excited to go shoot it. See  it's the exact same model, color and poundage I had as a kid for my first real bow. Anyways, I set the brace to 8.25" and it shot good, but a little noisy. Was wondering what other people are shooting them at for a brace height.

Sorry I can't help you.  I picked one up in a trade recently, and haven't had much time to fiddle with it yet.  Mine's a bit noisy also.

im running 7-3/4 brace with a 12 strand b-50 string
mine is very quiet
my arrows weigh a little over 10 grains per pound of draw weight
when my form takes a dump it will tell me by being noisy
