it's an addiction called TTA or Tall Tines Addiction
(http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa277/DUCK_TRAP/9B35B843-7527-40DF-B640-CD31B4106065-2237-0000022588341419.jpg)
60" 51#@28"
60" 57#@28"
62" 55#@28"
and I'm on the list for another
I just like everything about them. The way they shoot, the wood combinations. They fit my hand like a glove. I can run a huge selection of arrows through them and they seem to all shoot great. They are fast, quiet, consistent, stable and easy. I shoot them off the shelf or with elevated rests. It doesnt seem to matter.
My hats are off to you Brian. These bows are the real deal.
If you're looking for a new recurve, do yourself a favor and give them a try, but be careful, you may become addicted.
Is there a support group out there? Anybody else with the same affliction? I suspect there's a few. You know who you are.

Nice triplets you have there!
-
Nice bows!!
You are a sick man and the only cure will be 3 more of them.
John
-
I know I know, I got it bad. I'm hoping the custom TT I have ordered will cure me.
Trap

Nice looking bows !!!
Bill

Trap, you are still a little light in the TT stable, but at least I know who I have to keep ahead of :D
My name finally came up to the top of the list again and my first 62" is started. There is a 64" coming up sometime in the future too. The 62" is going to be very, very special.
I could not agree with your assessment of the TallTines any more; they are the whole package!
I have heard there is some 10 step program. I think that means I need one TT for each step???
-
Now there's a "recovery" plan I could "buy" into.
I think my next one is going to be pretty special as well. Can't wait to see yours and the many others that come along. Oh no, I wonder if I should get in line for another?
I'm going to haul a couple to the UBM Festival tomorrow and let some friends shoot them and anyone else that wants to look me up for that matter.

TTA......I love it! And my wife thinks I'm nuts :goldtooth:
-
They look great!
-
The first step is admitting you have a problem. :knothead:
-
Trap those are great looking bows. What are the riser woods pictured?
-
Sweet!
-
Nice bows,Trap. I like my 3 too!
-
Good luck Daryl.....there are many worse addictions to have!!!!
:campfire:
-
Trap,
Is that one on the far right Ziricote or Macassaar ebony? I like that one...Nice looking bows.. :archer:
-
For sure I can see it being an addiction after shooting mine everyday even with the weather being 14 degrees outside :archer2:
-
Guys, I bought all 3 bows from fellow Tradgang members and I'm not sure about the wood types. Here's a few more views with the bows in the same order.
Maybe previous owners will recognize them and chime in or maybe some of you know what types of wood are in them.

Limb veneers
Trap
-
I am pretty sure that top one is Zircote. I have a guess on the other two but the limb veneers I am sure from left to right are Bocote, Myrtle, and Carpatian Elm Burl as I have all those in TTs myself ;)
-
Thanks Steve, I was told the top riser was Brazilian Rosewood but it's not like the Brazilian Rosewood I'm familiar with in Vintage Bear and Howatt bows.
My guess wood be Bubinga in the middle riser and a combo of Bubinga and Bocote in the bottom riser.
Thanks for the limb info, I'm sure you're right.
I had them at the United Bowhunters of Missouri's Annual Festival today and everyone that shot them loved them and they sure turned heads when they walked through the room.

The limbs I am sure of, the risers, not so sure! Whatever they are, the ARE sweet. I am finally getting a wave riser on the next one. Can't wait!
-
I agree everyone else who shot them or at least the one I shot, it was most definitely user friendly.
My 1st 3 arrows were all touching each other..... and all 3 were in the target to boot!...lol
God bless,Mudd
-
Are those risers considered to have a flare?
-
That Bocote one looks strangely familiar
-
I like it Mike, thanks, it's the lightest draw weight of the 3 and is a pleasure to shoot.
mb, none of these risers have flares, but the one I'm having made will for sure.

Those are standard risers David.
Here are some wave risers as Brian calls them or flares as you Manitobawatenitensteinskis call them :D

"Manitobawatenitensteinskis" :dunno:
Beautiful "Waves" indeed !!!!!

Trap, you going to try out the checkering? My latest is one of the 3pc longbows and Brian's checkering is superb. Every TT I get from here on out will have it and I need to cycle the ones I already have back thru to BW to have them done.
-
Yes, I'm going to have Brian checker it for sure. Was considering having 2 sets of limbs made but then I'd be cheating myself out of another riser. How would that help my addiction? :knothead:

That is a mouthful!

In Manitoba we have our own vernacular. Can't wait to skun some more bears this spring :) Steve, do you have any pics of a Bolivian Rosewood riser w/ Shedua flare and Tiger Myrtle limbs, or something close? How many TT's are you at now?
-
Sorry buddy, this is about as close as I have to that combo, but it sounds REAL good! That middle one of the 3 I posted ealier is probably closer to what you are looking at.
I have 4-60" recurves and the one lonely longbow right now.
-
Thanks Steve. Didn't see the picture of the two good looking guys until now. My claim to fame is "guiding" big Mike. Can't wait for my TT to arrive!
-
I'm with you on the Tall Tines Addiction! Just got my 1st TT two weeks ago and already thinking about a backup! Mine looks like the middle bow in Steve O's wave riser photo.
-
Steve, great patterned riser on the Bocote and Cocobolo's ones.
-
Here you go David, as I know you are missing the big fella bout now :wavey: a TT at it's best!
As you know I also own what may be the the worst looking TT ever produced...but it did not start that way, it is all me and I love it!

Functional is the word you looking for Steve :D
That is a serious hunting bow.
-
Those are some beautiful bows! I look at my two favorite old Widow MA's hanging here and well..
Absolutely beautiful bows guys and the bears are REALLY nice to!
-
Steve,
That pic on page two of that Bocote one is just one of the prettiest colors of Bocote I have ever seen...Wow that thing is a head turner...
-
A worthwhile addiction! Those bows are beauties!
-
Thanks Bjorn, they are fun. Trap

So what are all of those wood combinations?
-
Hermon,
I am not sure on the left one in the row of three, but the center bow is Pau Ferro and Shedua. The bow on the right is brown and gray dymondwood.
The bottom two bows are a mix of Bocote and Cocobolo.
-
Got confirmation the bow on the left is Cocobolo with an Actionwood flare. Another one to add to the list of wants!
-
Got confirmation my new one is in the final stages :jumper:
-
I'm glad I don't have TTA! Or does having my 6th on order plus a 7th set of limbs count? Uh oh!
-
Not sure that I'm addicted yet, but here is one that I put together from a set of limbs off the classifieds and a riser I had Brian make for me. 62" 52# @ 28" bacote limbs, cocobolo and bacote riser.

Also picked up a set of brown glass limbs off classifieds that are 40# @ 27"
-
Sorry Ryan, You have it bad. Beautiful bow Glenn!!!!
-
Steve , We weren't plotting our next bait sit, were were just measuring how far adrenalin carried Matt down the road after he shot the Coach Ditka Bear. Ha! Tall Tines and Manitoba Stickflingers.... two addictions????? Ha! David, I hope to see you in June, so please dry off that map. Ha! Mike
-
mmmmman love that bocote and cocobolo! My two favorite woods! Coco and Zebra go together well too I think. Beautiful bows. I don't think mine would get much love at this ball LOL, but she shoots!
My only bow:

-
Mike those are some fun addictions. Don't worry the map will be dry, do you want another 8ft? Maybe an 8ft blond this time?
-
Varmint101, looks good to me!
-

I too, have that addiction. What's the wait time on a new one from Brian these days? My next one will be a 64", a friend of mine wants my 62" so I guess I'll just HAVE to get another one. Oh the tragedy. I'm thinking of either a dark walnut with osage wave, or maybe coco and osage for the riser, and a good burled limb veneer. Anyone have a pic of one close to that?
-
I can help with the burl:

that burl on the bottom is really nice Steve, thanks for the pics
