Title: Bamboo Arrow Shafting?
Post by: Gdpolk on February 01, 2013, 06:05:00 PM
Where can I find a place to build me some arrows from bamboo to match my current arrows' spine?

Yes, Google is full of good info but I was hoping someone on here knew of a good source from our sponsors that I could give my current aluminum arrow specs to and have them build me some arrows 1" longer that come out to the right spine for my bow.

John from Glacier Traditional Archery does a fantastic job.  The last dozen I ordered he nock tapered, point tapered, straightened sanded and sealed them, spined within 10# and got the weights within 20 grains (if my memory is correct) for around $55 shipped.  Very reasonable and they fly great.  Bought them for my son and the fly sweet out of his 42# Kaliska Maddog recurve. Now if he could just hit em in the right spot:) Hope this helps!!

I'll second John from Glacier. I've gotten flu flus and regular fletch from him and love them.
