Title: 54" or 56" Kwyk Styk?
Post by: Pettit877 on January 31, 2013, 12:16:00 PM
Well my name is comeing up to the top of Jacks list here in a month or so. Right now I have a 60" kwyk styk (will be for sale if anyones interested pm me) that i bought to see if id like kwyk styks well anyone who has shot one will agree...i love the bow.  I would like a shorter bow a little more treestand, groundblind freindly.  For those of you that have shot the 54" styks and 56" styk any suggestion would be great i'm having a hard time deciding.

Eric

Eric, The 56" is the "rockstar" of the KS lineup bud.  It's everything in a bow that Ive ever needed from stumps to 3d's to stalking to treestands and pop up blinds...fast, quiet and crazy smooth for a #56 bow!

You'll love it

Yes, I have 58" & 56" models.  For my 27" draw, I favor the 56".  I have found 54" or less bows are kinda pushing the envelope; unless you are always "on" with respect to form.

The 56" is quiet forgiving, with all the other fine attributes alluded to above.

I've had a couple 56"s KS statics.

I think it is a good set up with riser length/sight window/ smoothness.

I wouldn't hesitate to commit to a 56"r....

That is funny right there Gregg!

I've had 60", 58", and 56"...  All I have now is the 56" static limb... I'm getting another riser built for an extra set of limbs... it will be 56" also...  I've got right at a 30" draw and that 56" bow is smooth out to my draw length... the static limbs help a lot with string angle (I.E. finger pinch), and they are shooters!

Can't really go wrong with any, but I'd go with a 56"... well I guess I am going with a 56"...

Went from a 58" to a 54" Kwyk Styk, both 54# at 28.  I draw almost exactly 28".

Amazing as it may sound, the 54" is better in all aspects for me.  Would buy another 54" in a heartbeat.

I own a 56"KS and a 58" , I have shot 54" and 52" as many folks have stated the 56" is the benchmark of the Kwyk Styk line,,

I have also shot 54" to 58"  it's all personal preference between them and what you are looking to achieve out of them.  With that said, all of them were shooters and extremely accurate.... =)

Uncle Tater, do happen to need another nephew??? I'm right handed by the way, Jeff. lol

In all honesty the 56 would probably fit the bill.
Like the guy's said, it does it all,and does it well.
When I shot both my 56" and my 58" side by side the groups were almost identical.
But saying that I believe Jack likes shooting the shorties for himself.
Either way Eric I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Don't forget to post some pics when you finally get it home.

Take care
