Title: Bocote-Toelke
Post by: twistedlim on January 30, 2013, 02:13:00 PM
Fresh from the factory, Bocote front, back and a bit of micarta in there for accent. Mmmm...Dan does fine work. Just plain whipped    :)

This was not one of his stock bows, I know the one you are talking about rraming.  The cool thing about this one (if you like bocote) is that the bocote runs from tip to tip on both sides, just not the riser overlay. Photos do not do it justice. ( and the belly looks even better!)

And Bocote becomes even prettier when it ages!

I'm a sucker for bocote and that is an exceptional piece. It darkens with time. In a year it will be darker and even prettier in my opinion.  Keep ahold of that picture and the. Compare your bow to it in nine months to a year. I recently had a Habu Vyperkahn built out of a stunning piece of Bocote. A year later it has become even more beautiful.
