I was on the proper path to thin the bow rack down....but then it happened. A 66" Mohawk 2 pc. longbow pops up at my specs......and after a quick Pm and a price talk....it will be on it's way shortly. It's the Classic and should be a nice addition to my stable. I'm just to easy....lol!
Enjoy your new bow buddy!
... mike ...
You  Thinning the bow rack
You'll like it Ron. I had one a few years ago... real nice bow!
Here is the link to the one I had for a while, Ron. You might have looked at it. Serial #1.

I should have kept it!
sometimes we just cant help it..enjoy the flight to endless targets. :)
I think that looks just like the one I'm getting but mine is a take down. I test drove one from Bentpole a couple of years ago and I liked it, just a bit heavy for me....this one should be a keeper!
Ron, I'll have her to the Post Office this afternoon. Enjoy!
 I'm excited......
you are going to enjoy that Mohawk.
Remember last friday night when I said "I bet you don't know how many bows you have"? Now there is one more & I bet you still don't know! (I'll be waiting to try it out)
 NOWWWW you are done
Ron, just accept it, its a curse lol
Cant wait to try it out!
Huntmaster70, I ran out of fingers and toes and there was a bunch left!!! :biglaugh: Is that to many :dunno:
Heck Ron , I'm excited for you congrats and enjoy your new bow
Ron,
I was certain when I saw you post to the thread on the classifieds that the Mowhawk was going to your house.
Good luck with that Mowhawk looks like a real nice one...!
Glad you bought that bow I was really getting tempted but I have a new one on the way. Enjoy!
Ron,
Congrats, you will love the Mohawk!!!
Tom
Golly Pat, am I that predictable.....lol!
Ron, If that bow had been at 52# like the others, I would have beat you to it. You're gonna love it.
Ron.......yes....... :biglaugh:
With my 29" draw it's gonna be about 49# which is about perfect at 66" ,at least for me!
Ron,
I'll bet you love that Mohawk; I have one.
By the way, I bought Andrew's Wild Horse Creek Vision.
Enjoy!
Rob
I just saw that....good for you, that Liberty looks nice also.
Don't feel bad Ron, Huntmaster70 long ran out of fingers and toes himself!
We went to school together, I know how well he can count...... :biglaugh:
I sold my 64" Liberty Contender after I purchased my 66" smoother Mohawk, but the Contender is a fine bow. I took a hard look at Andrew's 66" Contender.
I hope to have the Mohawk on Friday, if the weather holds I'll get out and give her a test drive!
Don't forget some pics, Ron!
Congrats on your new bow Ron!
The Classic Mohawk came in the mail today......Hope to shoot it tomorrow. Looks nice and I like the way the connection hinge works. Nicely finished in a satin clear over the black glass. I'm getting to be fond of black glass. I'm hope'n the weather takes a break so I can get out and run a few arrows out of it!
Congrats
Real nice.
Looking for the pics Ron  :campfire:

I'm picture challenged, but pokerdaddy still has them up on the classifieds.........
There is still one bow that will trigger me into reminiscing time and time again with regard to the most desired euphoric shot experience. That would be a Mohawk....
Ron, I will take pictures but need a ride first lol.
I cant wait to shoot it. I shot one at Shawn's bunny hunt back in 2009. It was definitely a bow I had wanted for a long while.
Looking forward to seeing it. Congratulations.
BTW I dont think Terry's counting problem had anything to do with fingers and toes. I think he was hit in the head too many times by people he associates with in the ice cream gang. (local bow club reference). :biglaugh:
Took the Mohawk out and shot it a few times this AM. My 60-65 cedars flew excellent and were just rockets. I have to tune a bit to get it silent but I'm impressed. Very similar to my Osprey, both about the same weight.....they will make a good pair to take on a hunting trip.
Ron, I had a 66" 45# Sparrowhawk. My very favorite bow. Cocobolo riser with bamboo cores and dirty boo veneers. I didn't have any woodies at the time, but CE90's with 250gr up front bent around that sideplate real nice. Best shooting bow I had, but then came a switch (2nd time) to the left side and it went on it's way. Aren't they sweet shooting bows? Have 2 "righties" on the rack which will stay there, but it's filling fast with "lefties".
Seriously think I need a bigger rack. Way too many nice bows out there to enjoy yet :)
Ron, I just shot it with some Ash 60-65 shafts and I am impressed.
I want to thank Pokerdaddy for being a great guy to deal with and selling me a great bow!!
Now that I have had this Mohawk for a couple of weeks I can honestly give my thoughts on it. I really like the connection hinge, hardly even know it's there. As far as shooting it......excellent, good speed and cast very tolerant for arrow spine. I have shot 50-55, 55-60, 60-65, cedar, ash, and laminated birch, 2016, 2117, and 2216 and this bow doesn't seem to care. One of the best used bows I have ever bought from the classifieds. I'm glad pokerdaddy let it go at a fair price :notworthy: :notworthy:
Awww, shucks Ron, ur gonna make me blush :banghead: . I only NEED a couple three more and I'll be content ;) .
First priority right now is getting our first travel trailer in the coming months. Really excited to spend more time with the family at some of our great shoots here in Michigan, rather than just driving to and from in a day. And hopefully we can make it to Denton Hill soon and meet more great TradGangers like yourself!!
Andrew,
I was down to three, until I bought your Wild Horse Creek Vision and then I bought a Leon Stewart takedown slammer. Too many bows!
So yesterday I shot all five, thinking I could pick one to sell. Enjoyed shooting, had a grin on my face, but couldn't pick one to sell. A lot of very fine bows.
Rob
Enjoy your new Mohawk Ron. I bought a one piece standard Mohawk a couple of years ago and absolutley love it.52#@28" and 64". I just got a new take down with the same specs for air travel. I also like the black glass. My search is over for the perfect bow for me. Good luck and enjoy
I had Cyclic-rivers [Charlie] shooting it....I think I saw a smile on his face.....lol! ;)
Arrows were grouping for me quite well. In fact I remember ron telling me to use my own arrows at one point :readit: . Good bow
