Well guys, I just missed my first trad boar.
It was a full night, could count more then 20 board, only one gave me the opportunity to shoot.
Full moon, 10 yards, broadside... Shaved the hair off his back right over the solder...
No blood on the arrow, just a slight boar smell.
I'm amazed how quiet my bw is. The boar ran for few yards and returned to eat dome more but found the arrow stuck in the ground with the lighted nick on and thought it had enough...
Oh well, next time will be the time.
Don't feel bad,I missed a few this year to.
if you haven't missed, you probably aren't hunting enough. better luck next time.
I missed on my first hunt for hog too. Keep at it you'll get him.
This was my first time with trad gear. loved it. not a bit sad. learned a lot on this hunt. next time I'll get him.
Get 'em next time!

Don't worry Diogo,I missed quite a few myself,it is part of the game. This is what make trad archery so amazing, nothing is granted.
Stick with it Diogo, your time will come!
Keep after it and you will get it done. That night hunting is a blast.
It happens. Stay after it and pick a spot lower than usual, when I get excited I shoot high.
I think that my subconscious may have picked a spot on the hair of the boar back as this was the most visible spot. If this is true I made a hack of a shot as the arrow went right were i was looking!
The arrow was clean but smelled boar a lot.
I'm completely surrender to trad gear... what a pleasure!
I guess it's better to have a shot and miss then not to have a shot at all. I sat on stand for 4 hours last night. Didn't see any hogs but the baits were hit the past few days and we got some pics. So hope to arrow one soon and end a very long dry spell.
You know, a clean miss is a lot better than a really bad hit and a wounded animal...That's something that will cause you to miss even more sleep at night.
Farmer, I couldn't agree more.
That was my first concern, but no signs of hitting him.
