Guess hunting season is either over or winding down for most folks judging by time of year and all the arrow building threads I been seeing. Here I get to finish up January for whitetail then continue small game through February. Just reading through a few threads and thinking about wooden arrows which I really enjoy tuning and shooting made me think about how much I owe Surewood Shafts, I was just about ready to give up on wood when I got a hold of a few of your shafts my problems where soon solved. I spread the word about the toughness and the ability of your shafts to remain straight ever chance I get. I am still amazed at some of the abuse they can take, I hear there are other good wood suppliers and I'm sure there are but Surewoods sure work for me!!!!THANK YOU and hope you continue to sell affordable, quality shafts for a long time!!!
Work just fine for me too. Nothing bad to say about any of the other wood/shaft suppliers, but Surewood is my go to supplier for shafts. Good straight shafts, nice weight and extreamly good customer service.
My favorite. I have had great luck with Surewood Douglas fir.
Thanks for the good words, we try. We take a log that looks perfect and with bark, trim and saw dust about 50% of the wood is gone, then we start to grade the shafts. Only about 50% or 60% make the grade to Premiums and Hunters. I know two things, we will never get BIG and we won't get RICH, but we are having fun and again thanks for the good comments. And one more thing: we are made in America!!! Surewood Steve
Absolutely love these shafts, finest woods I've ever shot, and service just as good.Another reason I support our sponsors.
they're all I use......
I'll be ordering some soon. I'm building a new longbow and just have to settle on the weight I'm going to build.
Very impressed with what I've seen.
I was a little hesitant to order from them figuring they wouldn't worry about a small 2 dozen order like mine and it would take forever to get the shafts. I was very wrong. These guys got me 2 dozen perfect shafts as quick as if I had ordered them from 1 state away. I am very impressed and will definitely order from them again.
Nothing better! Surewood = good wood. Knowing these guys I can attest to their commentment to putting out a great shaft.
As an arrowbuilder I love working with douglas fir. As far as looks go there just isn't anything that compares to a stained douglas fir shaft!
Now Steve go make some more! haha
Best wood shafts available today IMO. The surewood guys are really great guys
Great shafts at a great price.
I'll be ordering some too...tired of hearing about these awesome shafts :) Time to get me some!
Kris
all of the above x 2
Best shaft and service out there.
It's all we use!
Didn't realize how crappy my POC was till I got my first 2 dozen Surewoods. Awesome product and my hat is off to you gents at Surewood.... :notworthy:
If I could only get the rest of you to shoot a different spine I would get more 60-65's, this happened last year as well. I only buy the 100 count and they are popular. You guys could use more tip weight as well-ha!
rraming 60-65's that's what my crooked stic loves!!!
Gotta agree, I am loving my first set of shafts which happens to be Surewood. Only problem with starting with the best is that it would be hard to go for anything else!
They were the first commercial shafts I have ever purchased and I have absolutely no reason to try any one else. They have an awesome product and are great people to deal with.
Been shooting wood for nearly 50 years. I agree with what others have said.. Surewood shafts are consistently high quality.
I have had 2 dozen and have been quite pleased.
Tough, easy to work with and beautiful whats not to love. Now if they could only inject the cedar smell.....
Bought 100 of the Surewood shafts and I can't stop smiling. I have so many arrows to build. The quality is just awsome. I'll be buying another 100 whenever I get my act together.
 Now you've got the good stuff!
Thanks again for all the positive comments, it's good to hear that all our hard work is paying off. Surewood Steve
Just want to give a big thanks to Snag(David) for making such beautiful arrows from our shafts and also for being a great friend. When I finish this post, I am headed out to David's to check the progress on some arrows he is making up for me.
Surewood Bob
Thanks for all the hard work! I love Surewood and will be buying another couple dozen very soon! i always have a few dozen on hard....can't beat the quality! :clapper:
...got to go! Better get to work on Bob's arrows! ;)
Bob,
You better point that Dodge north and get back to the shaft factory. You can't be hanging around David's place sniffin' paint. I'm not sure your semi retirement is a good thing.
only wood shafts i have shot. glad to know i started with the best!
I've got a couple dozen Hunter grade headed my way. This will be my first experience and I'm excited.
