Maddog Traditional Archery LLC started today 26 Jan 2006, so today marks 7 years of being in the bowyering business for me. Lots of learning, lots of ups and downs, feast and famine. Thanks to those that buy bows from me, and those that promote my work and put out the good word. You'll are very encouraging. Although I don't have much time to hunt, I do have plenty of time to make bows which is just about as good to me.
Although material costs, frieght costs, and the general costs of living is increasing, I've still not raise the price of the youth model pup bows since I started. I have, however increased the cost of the 54" Kaliska recurve this year to try and keep up. I've also started using BCY Dyna flight 10 (now called force 10) strings on all my bows ordered in 2013 and all bows including the pup models are capable of using such materials. Several customer and numerous posts here on the tradgang have persuaded me in that direction. Continuous growth requires continuous improvment.
I look forward to many more years. Thanks for your support.
AMEN
Congrats

My kids and I thank you! Two of your bows are getting a serious workout at my house. My oldest daughter shoots daily and it's getting to the point where I have to really try hard to stay ahead on the friendly wagers we have!
Thanks again for what you are doing!

Mike - Best of luck to you in the future.
Here's one of your pups in action. You glued me up a pup blank a couple summers ago with a pink action wood riser and white glass and my daughter, Gracie, and I finished it.

Little brother Jonathan also likes to shoot it and is man enough to shoot a pink bow ;)

Congratulations Mike!
I love shooting the "plain and simple" longbow that you made for me. :)
Congrats and Happy Anniversary !!! :clapper:
DWT, in this ecomony? I'll tell you, it takes lots of "going without". I raised 6 kids, 4 step boys, and a son and a daughter. And in the last 5 years, I taught 4 of them to drive, I paid for lots of car repairs, performed lots of car repairs, bought lots of cars, lots of clothes lot's of food, medical expense etc. and I tried to make sure they didn't "go without" but I certainly had to learn how to go without a few times.
But I made it, and learned that God, who looks after as little as each sparrow, will provide.
congrats mike y'all do one hell of a job bud
Congrats!! Keep it up !!
Congratulations Mike
Thanks, Mike. You're a good man to deal with, and you make a good bow. That's why my 2 daughters shoot Maddogs, and the bow I bought my wife was a Maddog as well.
May God bless your business!
Keep up the good work, congrats. :clapper:
Great bow for a fair price. My predator is a shooter
It's support and praise like this that made me order two bows from Mike in November for my kids and wife, and am currently working with Mike to add a possible third bow to it for my nephew.
They can't wait.
The support of small business is absolutely crucial these days, and as the owner of one, will always buy from and support them when I can.
Congrats on the 7 years, Mike. I am coming up on my 10th, and I know what each anniversary means.
