Just wondering what brace height you are using on your Shrew bows? Thanks!
7.25"
mine is 7in
7 as well for me
I was told by Ron that 7"-7 1/2" is recommended for his long bows. But don't be afraid to go a little above or below these recommendations. It really depends on the bow itself, and the string and arrow set up. I've shot mine at 6 7/8", and 7 5/8" with different strings and arrows successfully. The shrews are very forgiving in this regard. I had the same problem when I first got mine. I think he recommends the same for his recurves. Currently my long bow is 7 3/16", and my recurve is 7 1/2". Shrews are great bows! Have fun, and tinker until you find something that feels right. You will know when you get it.
7.25" for me too on most of my Shrews, but it can vary some. Yes, the Shrews are wonderful bows and are capable of taking just about any game animal in the world. I've killed everything from field mice to buffaloes with my Shrews.

7-1/2" on my Classic Hunter.
Thank you Gentlemen!
I hope this doesn't hijack the thread - it seems related...
I agree with what has been said already...but I find shrews not very sensitive to brace height either. i.e close is good enough and a 1/4 inch here or there doesn't matter.
Do others find that too?
On mine,I was having a little erratic arrow flight at 7"es. Bumped up to 7 1/2,perfect. I believe the fault is in my release, but by adding a bit to the B.H. cured it.
I miss having a Shrew , i shot mine at 7 1/4 to 7 1/2
I've had four Shrews (have one now) and all shot fine between 7" and 7.5" but ALL were fussy about # of strands. They definately like skinny strings. I found 10 strands of D97 padded to 16 in the loops to work well. Some folks use 8 or even 6 strands, but that's too skinny for me.
