I have tried shooting with everything out there and seem to do best with my bare fingers. I could never get used to the tabs and the gloves always seemed to be in my way so one day I decided to get rid of everything. Bowfishing I can shoot a few hundred arrows a night and never feel a thing, that is what made me decide to try bare. I can shoot consistently, stray arrows usually come from bad form or rushed shots.
I have also noticed that I can take long shots esier than close range shooting. Another thing, I release as soon as the cock feather hits the corner of my mouth, never second guess nor adjust for anything, is this wrong? Luckily I have never lost any game, but do miss shots on rabbits under 10yrds, always seem to shoot right above thier heads. Thanks in advance for the advice.
I practice and shoot 3-D with a glove, but when i hunt i don't use one. I use small thin glove's to keep my hands warm like the brown jersy one's when its above 40 degrees. When it gets colder i double them up. That works for me. :archer:
I shoot bare fingers since 3 years , i haven't been able to find the right glove like my old one , i got a nice skin thickness on the tip of the fingers now . tried some other gloves but can't find the right feeling ! i shoot a bear grizzly 50# 27" draw lenght , pretty sure if the bow was a 60# i will think twice .
I use a super archery mitt(sp?), I have had this one FOREVER and it looks as such! it has traveled far and wide hunting/shooting.
As far as what to use? use what is comfortable to you. Like my archery mitt though! I need to get another and start breaking it in.
Be safe

Ive tried about all of them over the years, Im not a fan of the tab so much. I usually wear a glove when practicing or hunting game and bare finger when bowfishing.
