Title: Beautiful new Black Creek Banshee for the wife
Post by: refugerambler on January 21, 2013, 01:44:00 PM
Picked up my wife's new Banshee from Jim yesterday and it is a beautiful bow and at her draw length, around 24", it's a shooter too. It's 35@28 so it's about 26-27 lbs at her draw length and spits out 300 grain arrows like nobody's business. It's 56" long and lightweight. Since its low poundage Jim was able to trim the throat of the grip down to fit her hand. Just a beautiful little bow!

I'll add pics here shortly

Sweet! I just sold my right-hand Banshee 1-piece. They do in fact spit an arrow with far more speed that one would expect for such a light bow.

I love a Banshee and Jim's finish is a perfect satin. Shot a 38#er 2 years ago and couldn't believe the speed. Nice bow!

Bob, I believe the woods are cocobolo and bacote. Maybe Jim will post and correct me if I'm wrong.

That's another of Jim's bows that makes me talk to myself, saying things like "Thou shalt not covet another man's wife's bow" and such. I have a couple of Jim's bows and they just seem to get better and better. It's good to see people with imagination and skill making bows for the rest of us.

My lady shoots a one piece BC Banshee at the shoots all summer long. Light weight and fast pointing. She loves it. She owns a 3p also for hunting but the 1p is her favorite. Smaller and lighter.
