Ok gang, let's hear what your favorite riser wood & color would compliment a bow with black glass limbs...

I like Osage...

ZebraWood :archer2:

Osage, Zebra wood, Shedua, Cocobolo and Babinga just to name a few. Some of them also will work together nicely........
-
Brazilian Rosewood. That Dalamation Ebony is pretty cool too.
-
Just had a Big River R/D made last year with black glass limbs over bamboo cores. Riser has an Osage I-beam with Zircote over the top and black leather grip. It's my new favorite, at least until my next Big River ;) That's not to say that my last Big River isn't still my favorite - damn, decisions, decisions.
-
I'm liking cocobolo pretty well:

I like that colored glass is making a "comeback" of sorts. Clear glass can be beautiful, but to me black glass just looks so damn badass! No frills, no fuss...just awesome!
-
The bubinga and trapped bamboo limbs on my black glass Misty Dawn look great together.
Is there a black glassed bow in your future Andrew?
-
You bet Chuck! I'll update when I get back from Kzoo, but I'm looking forward to spending some time with Steve Turay and Jerry Brumm at the show...
I really miss that black glass Kanati I got from you, but it went to a good home. I need to pick up another of Jason's bows in the future!
-
Any red wood, cocobolo, bubinga etc. would look good to my eyes.
-
Here is a bocote riser I had.

-
Take a look on our website. We have a bunch on there with black limbs.
-
Another vote for bocote. gorgeous wood Rick, drool drool.
-
any color wood compliments black,, same as clothes everything matches black.. but match the sheen and use the same color wood nock overlays as the riser or White horn.
-
Most anythig goes well with it we just Finished a Osage with Black glass and a walnut with Black glass both are great Or you can goe with a Black Dymondwood
Just pick the wood you want and it should work fine
-
Birdseye maple looks great with black glass limbs.
