Has anyone out there put one of their 250 grainers through an animal yet ? Pros........cons.......? I've been shooting mine into my foam block target and they seem to fly quietly and accurately. Last night I missed at 20 yards, my arrow skipped across the concrete skidding another 12 yards or so and stuck into a cinder block on the garage.........I had to use a pliers to pull it out :) it's pretty banged up looking but it still flys, I figure I'll resharpen it when I get a chance. These heads seem like the real deal, I hope they cut well out of my bow since I plan to hunt deer with them come September
I haven't put a 250gr into a deer yet but last year I used a 200gr that passed through a deer with no problem. Only thing is that the arrow went into the ground so far that I couldn't find it. The bloodtrail was amazing. It looked like someone literally poured buckets of blood along the trail until I found the deer.
They are very durable, that's for sure. I shot my first ever buck with a 175 gr terminator and it shattered both its shoulders....
Only have experience with the 200 gr ones. Killed 2 mature bucks with them and are very impressed! Easiest sharpening head ever!
Here is a 1 1/4 250gr. Worked good!

Shot a 250 thru a 120#+/- pig and in 2011. No complaints here. Killed a couple of deer with the 200s and pleased with them as well. By far the easiest 3 blade to sharpen that I have ever tried. Great broadheads! Mike
Those are the only heads I really have a desire to try besides my Deltas..
I hunt with the 175 grain they do a great job. Rob looks like he has it going on with the 250s. God bless.
Yes, December 30th, 2nd last day of the Ontario season,

Great shot Rob!!!
I don't use the 250's but rather 160 with 100 gr brass insert. If the head is sharp, it won't be an issue on anything you want to hunt. Fine head that flies great and easy to sharpen. Have had very good blood trails to date. Complete pass through on 2012 bull.

Love them. I have 175 and 200. Also some 150's but have not shot anything with them yet. They are shorter. I like the length of the heavier heads better. They all fly great.
I've killed close to 10 deer, 10 turkeys, and 10 hogs in the last 3 years or so using either 250 screw-in's(both 1 1/8" and 1 1/4"), or 160 glue-on's on 100gr steel adapters'
I personally don't see any need to shoot anything other than VPA 3 blades for anything I'm going to hunt.
Super quality, silent in flight, and very, very easy to sharpen.
I can't recommend them highly enough!
I'm sold buying my first set tonight. Look forward to hunting some pigs in Hawaii when I move out there in April.
I've killed something like 10 deer, 6 turkeys and 2 hogs with them as well as quite a few squirrels. I will never shoot another head. They fly great and are way tougher than any other 3 blade I have ever shot. Very easy to get hair popping sharp too.
I just sat down with the stone and put an edge right back on it. In fact the dinged up one is sharper now than the other two out of the pack :)
If I can get my grouping tight at 20 yds before April I just might try one out on a spring gobbler :)
Thats the best part! with a file or stone you can just keep touching them up, just about no matter what you hit!
I put the same 200 through two different grouse and stuck them in trees behind the bird. Then used the same head for two deer sticking them deep in the ground on the offside. Still looks like new...
I have not killed anything with mine yet. But I just got my 250g and it is the best looking head that I have ever seen. And it only took me a few minutes to get them hair popping sharp. Now I just hope to connect with a spring turkey or a deer in the fall.
Several deer and hogs with the 250 gr both 1 1/8 and 1 1/4
I killed 3 hogs 2 over 200# with the same 250-11/4 head and I had just to tuch it to be sharp again.Great dependable head.

This guy is Bacon Bait. If he says hog tested, you can believe that.
Wyoming has one less bull elk, Thanks a 250 gr out of my Bushbow. I will never shoot a different head. Quiet, flies true and is easily sharpened. Elk hate them.
Bacon bait? Hmmmmm. I think you are right Nathan. Usually go with the 1 1/8" on hogs since I am currently shooting low 50#'s and like 2 holes. Some of those fellows can get some size to them.
