so i have polished the scratches off of my glass limbs of my barta bow using steel wool and then micro mesh which is a super fine sand paper and have got a nice gloss. so what do i do to the parts of the limbs that i have polished to protect them from miosture, or does the glass not have a finnish to begin with? thanks for any help!!
I am not familiar with that specific bow, but most bows have the finish applied to the whole bow. So if you worked on the glass of the limbs, you likely removed the finish that was there. The glass itself does not need a finish. But if it doesn't look even, you can shoot another coat. I am sure you'll get lots of replies on the best finish. My favorite is Fullerplast, but it's pricey for one bow.

For nicks and small dings that break through the finish, I use thin super glue.. especially on dings on side of limbs.
