Isnt it amazing, no matter how long youve been doing this, sometimes you have to retrain yourself in the basics. Went out and shot this evening with less than stellar results, so i gathered my gear, went inside, cracked a beer, and pondered the problem. Now dont get me wrong, im not advocating beer as brain food, but about half way thru a can, the answer hit me :knothead: ! I had strayed from my normal form! with that i went out for round 2.... problem solved.
Seems no matter how many yrs. youve got behind the string, the learning of the sport, and maintenance of our form is never ending, and I wouldnt have it any other way!
Enjoy the journey!
Ain't that the truth. I do it all the time
Women get prettier too.
And men get wittier.
Not!
It isn't the beer. It is that sitting down stimulates the thinking parts.
Still missing, after all these years...
Killdeer :bigsmyl:
I'm lucky to make it thirty minutes without having to rethink it!
Dido :knothead: :bigsmyl:
like the man said, ''You can learn to shoot a traditional bow in about a hour and spend a life time learning to shoot it better.''
Mole,
Consider yourself lucky, I still have to retrain and I've been in training 59 years!
Good Thread Mole,I think the kind of beer can make a differance though!
I think the most important ingrediant to shooting a stick bow well is "concentration".
Some days I just don't have it.
It doesn't change from session to session, but from shot to shot. Simple isn't necessarily easy.
Stay thirsty my friends....
