In order to promote our facebook page, the Traditional Bowhunters of Florida has teamed up with Tradgang sponsor Jay Campbell to offer a give away/drawing for a cool traditional prize package. The prize package will include a copy of "Longbow" personally endorsed by Jay and Karen Campbell, a TBOF t-shirt, a raffle ticket for our Black Widow bow give away, and a mystery prize.
In order to get your name in the hat for the drawing simply go to facebook and "like" the Traditional Bowhunters of Florida page by the end the day on March 1, 2013. Each person who has "liked" our page by then will have a chance to win. This includes those of you who have already "liked" us. The drawing will be held at our state shoot on March 3, 2013.
There is nothing to purchase and nothing to lose. So visit us on facebook and "like" us!

Cool deal! This kind of makes me wish I was on facebook!

Great! Looks like I won't make it down for the Charity Shoot, but with the wife and MIL looking at places in the Villages, I should be down there more often.

Here is a copy of the flyer for the black widow bow. The winner of the Facebook drawing will get a ticket for the black widow raffle as part of their prize package.

Wow what a great offer! Are there any tickets left for the raffle?
Yes. Just started selling them.
would you have to be present to win?
All: I don't think our signed book is much competition for the Black Widow Drawing!! :biglaugh: Please go "like" the TBOF site on Facebook - you can even find Karen and me on Facebook! We will be at the TBOF shoot with pictures and books, and we will even be the pre-Don Thomas entertainment along with guitarist Big Jim Brady, playing and singing like last year! For anyone who just can't wait, the e book and hard copy are on Amazon, or available signed directly from Karen and me. Thanks! - Jay www.campbellsquest.com (http://www.campbellsquest.com) (http://i.imgur.com/Qglpd.jpg?1)
NO You DO NOT need to be present to win either the facebook prize package or the Black Widow raffle.
Gregg, I like you... I don't have a facebook account, does that work? :biglaugh:

Bisch and Nathan...no, it does not! ;)
But you can still get off your pocket books and send in ten dollars for a chance to win a sexy new Black Widow of your choosing.
Brad has generously donated a copy of his excellent book to the cause as well! This is becoming quite a nice little prize package!

There's no text with that picture of our book cover, but here's what we are thinking about for this TBOF promotion for "Likes" on their TBOF FB page. Karen and I are moving out of our house to our boat. We have a LOT of archery stuff. :archer: So, we are looking through the rooms of stuff to see what we might throw in. Pictures and arrows from Karen's buffalo hunt, broad heads and small game heads used (and new) from our Alaskan bear hunts, I dunno. I even might have a river cane arrow from an Isla Mona hunt! But, we'll figure it out soon and have Gregg add it (them) to the prizes! Best, Jay and Karen www.campbellsquest.com (http://www.campbellsquest.com)

 :notworthy:
We just got Jays book this week. I have to fight my wife to read it! I love the way its written, its not about a bunch of trophies to hang on the wall or about killing and more killing. Its about real life hunting, sometimes you hit other times you get nothing. Thanks Jay, I really like the way you write.
I went to TBOF about 15 years ago when I lived in S.C. I remember going down around Ocala for that shoot if I am not mistaken. I had a great time. I stayed at a little motel right on the river a few miles away. I think it was around 600+ traditional shooters. We had a eagle eye shoot. It was really nice.
Done!
Thanks guys! A lot of stuff going on with TBOF right now. Check out our facebook page and our forum here on tradgang.
Hey Gregg: I might have an early Dean Torges self bow (author of Hunting the Osage Bow) I could donate. If you want, should it go to the charity thing, or the FB thing?
Very generous donation, Jay! I always leave the choice on these things to the donor. Let me know. Thanks.
I'll go look for it, Gregg. Thomas (wildcat hunter) - thank you for the kind words about the book! Best, Jay www.campbellsquest.com (http://www.campbellsquest.com)
Jay's book is fantastically written! I can't wait for the next one! Whoever gets it will love it.
Oh, that Black Widow thing would be pretty cool to win, too. ;o) Probably have to send in $10 for that one!
Thank you Matthew! OK, Gregg, I found that bow, and we will donate it at the March TBOF shoot to be auctioned off for the charity, if that's OK with you! This is a Dean Torges made bow, autographed ("Dean Torges, Brother of the Bow" and an inscription to a friend of mine and Dean's). The last Dean Torges bow I know of sold at on-line auction for $500. It's a self bow, Osage, with a bit of string follow! Picture is of Karen Campbell just because its her 51st birthday today! - Jay and Karen www.jaycampbellphotography.com (http://www.jaycampbellphotography.com)

I don't have a facebook account either but I'll be sending a check for some tickets in short order. Looking forward to reading that book too.
Don't do facebook but sent a check for ticket in the mail today , I can win this bow , thanks Gregg
And Happy Birthday Karen !
If you like talking, and reading about archery and bowhunting you should consider facebook. There is so much going on there.
Way cool, Jay!
If you send me a pic I will get it posted here on the florida forum of tradgang to generate interest in advance.
Happy Birthday Karen! My wife just turned 52 on the 17th of this month.
Gregg, I don't do FaceBook, but my wife liked TBOF at my request, so if she wins do I still have to let her have the prizes? Plan to see y'all in March.
I like your wife better than I like you so I'll let her decide if she wants to share.
Glad you are still on the right side of the dirt. See you in March, buddy.
Still quite a few tickets for the Black Widow left! If you want to order one by mail, please postmark your check by the deadline of FEBRUARY 18! Otherwise you will have to buy a ticket at the shoot. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN!
Still time to "like" the facebook page for a chance to win the great give away advertised on page 1.
Check out the Traditional Bowhunters of Florida facebook page for silent auction bidding opportunities on a Dean Torges Bow donated by Jay Campbell :clapper: :clapper: :clapper: and a copy of the Witchery of Archery from Fred Bear's private collection donated by Ronnie Weatherman! :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Great stuff!
Bringing this back up top! Drawings, raffles, and auctions mentioned in this thread culminate this weekend. Check it out.
